hello everyone. it’s me, egg. this is the last time i will be “signing on”.
i have nothing funny to say. i have no silly pictures to post. i am not here to wreak havoc. i am not here to entertain. i am here to give you information and won’t be back to do anything other than to protect this blog from expiring.
it is true. kate, the owner of this blog, has passed away.
i don’t know what else to say. my fingers have been aimlessly hovering over this keyboard as i search for more words to give to you. there aren’t any. i wish i had more things to offer, but i don’t. it is what it is. and that’s the end of it.
we are all very shocked by this. but i do ask two things of you all in this time of grief:
please do not spread rumors. do not allow for speculation to be your focus. please focus on the life kate lived instead.
please remember that kate used they/them pronouns when talking about them.
in the few days following the news of kate’s passing, i have seen a tremendous amount of love and support filling up my dashboard. from seeing people reblog their artwork, to seeing people reblog their interactions with them, to even seeing many post about personal stories or memories or connections to kate. it’s heartwarming. it’s lovely. please, do not let it end.
the ever present love for kate that i have seen has been the main thing to lift my own spirits these past few days. to see that so many people’s lives were touched by kate is absolutely remarkable. myself, along with a few of kate’s other closest friends, would like to do something about this love.
the four of us have decided that we wish to collect these stories about kate and compile them all together. so, if you have anything you’d like to say, please feel free to write a blurb about kate and send it in to one of the four of us.
another thing we have decided to do is to write a letter to paul. we would like to inform paul of how much kate loved him and hopefully get him to do something in their honor. and to do this, we would like to include personal stories from kate’s friends regarding their love for paul mccartney.
send in what you can. anything. and if you were extremely close to kate and you’d like to be part of the bigger part of this project, please, feel free to message us.
we’ll take what we can get.
