To us, one of the scariest things we could imagine is to live a full life, just to reach the afterlife and realize all you've preached is a lie. HELL IS EMPTY is a critique of fear-mongering religious structures, and a surreal deep dive into the nature of life after death. We're so excited to get started on this, but we need your help!

I am one of the producers of this short film and a long time Tumblr user, so when we started our campaign I felt really strongly about reaching out on here, because I can think of no other platform that would resonate more with a queer-made film about the afterlife and bigotry.

I know Tumblr has a bit of a…. history with crowdfunding campaigns, but this team has successfully produced and delivered an award-winning short film before, and most of us work in the entertainment industry on professional productions.
