The last of the Block Busters

Rose didn’t know how she ended up in what she thinks might be the last Blockbuster in existence at 1am, but she sure was here. She assumes that it was just kind of a whim on a night time walk, but she really shouldn’t have entered the empty store. There had been an employee, but he had gone into the back room when he realized that Rose absolutely wasn’t going to buy or rent anything.
Rose began to go through the movies, just to look over what she could watch on Netflix or something later, and she heard the door’s bell ring, indicating that someone else had joined the party. She didn’t actually look up until she was met with an incredibly loud HEY TOOTS.
“If they do, I wouldn’t know. I don’t actually work here. I could help you find it though, there’s nothing else to do here.” She looked this angry thirteen year old over while she had the chance though. Metal arms. Probably metal teeth. Cigar. Younger than her. Kind of reminded Rose of something that you’d see in a video game.
“What even is Annie of the Stars? That’s not a show that I’ve ever heard of. Like, if I knew the genre, I’d probably be able to help you find it. Maybe.”
“Waddaya MEAN you don’t know what Annie of the Stars is?! Andy, Tommy! Get in here and help search the place!” ordered Peacock as she approached Rose. Peacock was completely dumbfounded by the fact that Rose has never seen let alone HEARD of Annie. Placing her cigar in between her finger as she folded her arms rolling her eyes at Roses’ ignorance.
“It’s an action show! About Annie and how she saves the day fighting Skullgirls and protecting the kingdom! Have you been living under a rock for your entire life?”
“Ya know what- forget about it just help me look for it in this dumb place.” Turning around and walking into an open area of the store Peacock began to shout at her associates. “Andy, Tommy! You guys find anything yet?” Much to Peacock’s dismay they replied with a no. What a horrible situation, it’s already 1 and no sign of Annie. If things keep getting worse Peacock might flip her lid.
