As Olin was ushered away, Jennifer sniffled and wiped away the remaining tears. Only now, they were no longer forced. This felt like the first day of the beginning of her life – which might’ve been the craziest statement made in recent months considering she was pregnant with Vivian Travers’ twin babies. If this was the very last time she ever saw this prick breathing, she could very well live a fulfilled life. It was within reach. Oh, but she only wished she could be the one to slam the bars closed on him.
“So long.”

If looks could kill, the one Olin gave his sister, as he walked with the aurors head held high, would have shot her to the ground. But eventually, as they kept him in a dark interrogation room and built a case off of nothing, the fight drained away. This had happened before, and it was happening again. Soon he would be marched to Azkaban as he awaited trial. Once there, even more of him would be sucked away. He would become a shell as they decided he had tried to kill his sister, that he had almost killed a student in the process. By the time he was given his sentence, he had already accepted it. One day, when he was much older, he would be free from those walls. Maybe he’d still have it in him for revenge. To even try and live a life. But until then, Olin Burke was gone.
