“Tell me something about it, I think it’s the weather, ” Felix groaned as he handed Ollie his favourite toasted marshmallow latte and smiled at the blond. “I have the lacrosse practice today too and I’m just so exhausted but you can’t skip the practice if you’re the team’s captain, can you?”
“It must be,” Oliver replied and nodded in agreement as he accepted the cup. “You’re a saint, Felix, you really are,” he told the other before taking a sip and groaning in pleasure at the taste of the hot drink. “I’m definitely sure that you can’t do that. I’m only the lowly mascot, but I’d feel guilty about ditching everyone to go nap.”

“Yeah, I have a Korean friend who recommended it to me. I thought it sounded weird, but it’s delicious. Uh, just that four cheese melt stuff? So mozzerella and cheddar, I think?”
“Huh, that’s pretty cool! I’ll definitely have to try it some time, plus I mean who doesn’t love cheese? And I love trying new stuff, too! This certainly sounds interesting enough.”
clawsoutwilde:
“If you fall asleep during practice I will not hesitate to kick your ass.”
“I find that unfair, Jas falls asleep all the time! But nah, I think I’ll manage... I can get some coffee. Plus, it’s not like I do much of a lot with you guys.”

“I know, who doesn’t like head massages?” She said, before wrapping her arm around his shoulder and guiding him to lay his head in her lap. She continued to massage his scalp. “Then have some coffee,” she suggested, “and try not to overdo it in cheer practice. Hopefully they won’t really practice your bits today and you can at least rest,” she said encouragingly. Jas sighed and bit her lip. “Yeah. It’s… a health thing,” she said cryptically.
“Evil people, they don’t like anything,” Oliver pointed out and hummed as she pulled him down to lay his head on her lap. He easily went as the girl tugged at him, closing his eyes to let himself enjoy it. The boy was tired and felt that he deserved a little massage or pampering from a friend, it was only fair with how much he lifted up Jasmine. “Mm, probably what I’ll have to do,” he replied with a sigh and nod. He frowned and opened his eyes at that. “Health thing? Are you okay, Jas?” he asked, worried for the girl.

Jas smiled sympathetically and reached up to massage his scalp. “Aw. Just sleep in class, that’s what I do.” She wet her lips nervously and glanced down, fiddling with her hair. “I mean, I don’t have to sleep in class anymore because I can just sleep when cheer practice is on. I kinda, um… I quit cheerleading,” she admitted quietly.
Ollie hummed when Jas started to massage his scalp like that, eyes drooping even more. “Das nice...” he told her softly. “I don’t know, I don’t wanna miss anything important and not have any notes,” he replied with a little sigh, opening his eyes to look at her tiredly. He frowned at what she said next. “Wait, what? You quit? Why?” he asked. “You love cheerleading.”
I care. I care a lot. It’s kinda my thing.

“I’m so tired, I don’t think I can make it all day through school... Forget about school and then cheer practice...”
zach-chaucer-ary:
“So… in other news, I recently discovered that melted cheese on ramen is actually quite tasty. Weird, huh?”
“Huh, I’ve actually never tried cheese with ramen, but I’ve added other stuff to it. What kinda cheese did you use?”
j-ackson-az:
“I’m guessing it’s you? Congrats, man,” he chuckled, clapping him on the shoulder. “Does this mean you can cook all sorts of awesome stuff for us, now?”
“Nah, I was playin’,” he replied at the first question before laughing and nod. “No, yeah, I’m kidding. I actually did get it,” he told Jackson quickly and grinned when the other congratulated him and clapped him on the shoulder. “Okay, ouch. I thought I already cook all sorts of awesome stuff for you guys,” he replied, laughing and nodding. “But yeah, I totally can!” he told him, proud of himself and his accomplishment.

Felix swallowed thickly, praying that nothing in his face and behaviour showed just how still in love he was with the blond, even though it’s been so long since they’ve decided that their relationship was not going to make it through the distance and that they’d be better off as friends. It was far from perfect but it worked better than they did in the months, weeks prior to the break-up. “Yeah, lead the way,” he nodded with a smile and wrapped his arm around Ollie’s shoulders, pulling him a little bit closer. Even when they still just were friends it was a torture for Felix to not be able to be affectionate with the other because he was just that kind of person who would charge his batteries through the physical contact with others. But now more than ever he needed some affirmation that they still could be close with each other without making it more awkward than it seemed to be.
Few minutes later they entered a cosy tea shop in which Felix has immediately fallen in love with, wanting to take a milliard pictures of the place – obviously with Ollie in the foreground background. “Did it open recently?” he asked the other, still looking around mesmerised. As they approached the counter, Felix ordered the teas and a little snacks for both of them – it was like a reflex, he just knew, what Ollie would order for himself. They sat in the booth by the window, waiting for the waitress to bring their teas, sitting in a somewhat comfortable silence but there was still some tension present between the two of them. “You know, Mikey keeps asking about you all the time,” he spoke softly because talking about his brother seemed like a perfect idea at the time. Felix adored his baby brother who now just wouldn’t shut up and stop asking him questions, whenever he was back in New York. He mostly asked about his travels but there was always at least one question about Oliver and Felix just couldn’t help but avoid answering to those kinds of questions.
Oliver looked up at the other and smiled at him softly, giving a little nod when he agreed to go with him to the place nearby. He still didn’t know how exactly to behave around Felix, he honestly never really did. Ollie was always confused around the man, confused about how he felt towards him and his physical affection, as well as what that affection could mean. Felix had always been an affectionate person with all his friends, which was always something that drove him crazy because he had never known whether it was platonic or not until the events that lead to their getting together had happened. He was always flustered whenever the platinum blond would touch him, making him blush and stutter at every touch until he grew used to it and welcomed it, missed it whenever Felix wasn’t around. He hated that he couldn’t get that anymore, at least not to the same degree as it had been before. It was warm and familiar when Felix wrapped his arm around his shoulders and held him to his side as they walked. “Right this way,” he replied with a small smile, wishing that he could man up and put his own arm around Felix’s waist, but he didn’t think he was entitled to that anymore.
He smiled when they walked into the store and saw Felix’s reaction to the place, knowing that the other would absolutely be in love with the quaint little cafe. He could see the little wheels turning in his head about what images he could take in this place, how Ollie knew that those pictures would turn out breathtaking because when was something Felix did not that? He nodded again in answer to the question and smiled. “Yeah, about a month ago?” he replied, giving a glance around. “I found it a couple weeks ago, and it’s not only gorgeous, but the drinks and food are amazing,” he assured the other. Ollie blushed lightly when after one look at the menu Felix already knew what he would usually order for himself here (after trying everything the first few times, of course). He followed the other to a little table by the window and took his seat across from him. He smiled fondly at the mention of Felix’s little brother. “Does he? It’s been so long since I last saw him, I miss the little one...” he said softly, still smiling, albeit a little sadly as he thought about the child. It was true, he did miss Michael, almost as much as he missed Felix all the time that he was gone and they didn’t have contact. They were both forces of nature and the only way he could get them to calm down or quiet down was to bake them something.
feelthefee:
Felix could not hide his excitement when he heard that Ollie got his degree because he deserved it more than anyone else. “This is so amazing, congrats, Ools!” he exclaimed before pulling the other man into a tight hug because a hug was the best substitute of a kiss. And they were friends now; friends don’t kiss the way Felix was dying to kiss Ollie again. “I’m so proud of you, oh God,” he whispered, still reluctant to pull away. “How about we grab some celebratory tea?” he proposed, because tea was more neutral than drinks, right?
Oliver smiled along with Felix, unable to keep containing how he happy and excited he was about the fact. “Thanks, Fee!” he replied, laughing as the man pulled him into a hug. He hugged back, a little ache in his heart as he wrapped his arms around Felix. They were still friends, but he missed the way that they had used to be. In the start of their relationship Felix always made him blush with all the physical affection, but slowly he had gotten used to it and he missed the easy touches and kisses they shared. He wouldn’t give up his friendship for anything either, though. “That... That means a lot to me, Fee. It really does,” he told him softly when his ex told him he was proud. “Yeah,” he nodded and smiled. “Tea sounds great, and there’s this great place nearby too.”
“So, guess who just finished his culinary degree?” Ollie asked excitedly with a bright smile. “Hint, he’s blonde, has green eyes and is standing right in front of you.”
Within reason, please! -Ollie
