❝ Properly tempered steel won't be made rusty by things like this! ❞
. . . Hello. I am Jasmine, a Gym Leader from the Johto region. I use the . . . Clang! Steel type! Nice to meet you.
Um, er . . . What should I put here? Outside of my work at the Gym, I like traveling, Contests, the Pokeathlon, the ocean . . . Other things . . . . . .
I'm not really sure what else to say. It's sort of difficult, talking about yourself like this.
. . . I could share my team, maybe?
They all have nicknames, but they just aren't shown here. I'll figure out how to update it soon.
I . . . Think that's it. Um . . . Right! Thank you!
//hiya! This is a pkmn irl/rp blog for Jasmine. Mod can be found at @skrelps-cafe. Mod and muse are both adults!
Basic stuff- No NSFW! Any blog with any canon can interact! Pelipper Mail and Union Circle are on, and everything else is currently off 👍👍 All in all, this'll be a pretty low stakes/low activity blog, so no content warnings currently apply!
I'll be running on mostly gameverse logic here! This blog takes place several years after the events of GSC/HGSS. Pokemon Masters is sort of canon as well, but it probably won't come up much.
Let me know if you ever want to plot something out! Whether it be prior connections, events, etc. I'll be down for most things!
I'll primarily use social media/pkmn irl style formatting, but I'll blend a bit of literate rp in there as well! I'm also down to do rp threads and the like.
I apologize if it takes me a while to reply to things! Energy/Motivation deficits paired with very cool anxiety means I sometimes end up taking a bit.
I'll probably put her trainer card here once i've ironed everything out with it.....something something iron/steel pun lmao

Ms….Mrs….Miss Jasmine, I have a friend who’s training a Steel-type in Paldea (like a Steelix but immune to Ground. And a lot tinier) called Orthworm! I’ve been wanting to get her a gift for it, something to boost its battle capabilities or something! Do you have any ideas on what I should do?
- @zonanemona
. . . Oh! Hello again, Nemona! Um . . . I'm sorry it took me a while to get back to you. I hope you've been doing . . . well . . . ? Or. Better . . . ?Um. . . . . . .
A-Anyway! Orthworm! I'm a little familiar with that Pokemon. They're so cute, hehe. I didn't know they were immune to Ground, though . . . Uh . . . Well, a Metal Coat is always a good choice for Steel types. Steel Gems are also good, but . . . those are hard to come by. A Metal Coat would be easier to get . . . Um . . . What else . . . T-There's things like Rocky Helmets and Leftovers, but . . . Those . . . Aren't very good gifts, I think . . . Er . . .
. . . I'm sorry, I can't think of anything else. But, um . . . Whatever you end up choosing, I'm sure it'll be perfect!
. . . Um . . . I've been looking into Bug types lately. Or . . . more like two Bug types . . . They're interesting. There's so many different kinds in Johto . . .
I was thinking of either . . . Scizor or Forretress. A-At least, for Pokemon that I could raise . . . I have more experience with the latter, but I thought that Scizor could be nice, too . . . Um.
Oh, Scizor are phenomenal. I have one– Ku'i has never let me down.
in general the Scyther line are pretty damn hardy. They're good at taking care of themselves. Most of the potential problems are the same as any bigger pokemon. If you can handle that, you'll be fine. They mainly prey upon smaller Pokémon, so if you have any little guys you might want to watch out. They might get aggressive, but unless they're trying to eat you you'll usually get a warning. They swing their arms up around their head and flare their wings.
Theyre damn cool pokemon.
I don't know AS much about. Forretress, but they're also pretty low-maintenance if I'm remembering right. They're not gonna move much. They're ambush predators as well. So long as you provide them with a good environment and proper nutrition, they should be a-okay.
I-I see . . . ! That makes sense. When it's put like that, taking care of a Scizor sounds a little easier than before . . . M-Most of my Pokemon are pretty large, so . . . I don't think I'd have to worry about one preying on them . . . T-That's good to know about Forretress, too! I think I read something similar earlier. They're so interesting . . . Um . . . . . .
. . . It's sort of difficult to choose between the two of them right now. They both sound like good choices. Though . . . I guess I should also think about how my other Pokemon would react. My Skarmory might be a concern . . .
You may also want to speak to Bugsy! He has a lot of experience with the Scyther line, of course, and I'd be surprised if he didn't have anything to say about Forretress.
Getting a new pokemon is always exciting! I wish you luck with your new potential partner(s). ^-^
. . . T-That's true. I could talk to him . . . We haven't really spoken in a while, but . . . I've been wanting an excuse to visit that part of Johto, anyway . . . Um! I think I'll try that.

Found exactly what I expected in Granite Cave—an Aron! And a Sableye, hiding in the back. I’d have to change the brightness to actually see the Sableye, but trust me, it’s there!
