Art Re-draws for 2019-2020

I have a serious urge to re-draw one of my fave drawings from 2009, as a way to reconnect to my work from the start of the decade. I made a lot more traditional art back then, but my fave drawing is a mix of trad/digital. It's been a terribly long time since I made mixed medium art, and tbh I think it'd be a blast.

I'm a bit worried that I won't be able to replicate the mood of the drawing though, as the one I have in mind is still one of my absolute faves in my dA gallery.

I've also considered revisiting and redrawing some OC art/designs from 2010, as I made quite a few ones back then, one or two of which ended up becoming kinda iconic in my OC roster. I'll save any such revisits for 2020, though. 👍

Hi. I haven't been active in a while. Too many things have happened recently (nothing bad, just a lot), so I've had my focus elsewhere for a bit.

I figured it was about time I return, though, and the best way to do so is apparently to post a late night doodle of an unknown monster/kaiju. Enjoy~!

I desperately need to practice on new things if I wish to improve, so I tried painting today. My wrist hurtssss...! There are a ton of things I’m not completely happy with, but considering how much of a n00b I am when it comes to digital painting I think I did pretty well. Don’t mind the sloppy water lilies and sub-par shading; my hand was cramping af so I gave up before they were completely done. OTL Oh well. If my computer doesn’t decide to die and if youtube decides to not kill art channels in the next few days I hope to post a progress video of this when I get the time to do so.

It's 5:20am and I can't sleep (as always), so here's a costume design I've carried around in my head for a couple of days. Simple, semi-regal/military inspired, and topping it all off with a cape for that extra flair and drama. And ofc it's supposed to be in black.

As always the mannekin is my man, my boi, my tragic, basic son. Couldn't bother with the face. I'm fairly cross-eyed at this point, lol. Imma go crash and sleep for a millennia.

Art Video Suggestions

Hi, hello, it’s me. The person who writes mediocre stuff for the Humans are Space Orcs tag and who’ve drawn some fanart from said tag as well. I’m super well known, I know. I will be signing keychains and existential concepts at the checkout, thank you. Anyway, what I’m truly here because I’m sort of trying to get into drawing digitally again, and I want to make more art videos/timelapses. While I do have plenty of my own characters I could draw, I’m aware that it’s not quite as fun for others to watch me draw those characters. So I figured I should do the obvious and ask what you’d like to see me make an art timelapse of? It can be fanart, a concept, a design challenge, etc. I’m open to pretty much anything. I’m just looking for inspiration, so I won’t take super detailed requests, and I will not draw comics. The simpler the prompt is, the better.

@it-is-alright-to-be-a-mess drew a really neat drawing of @starr-fall-knight-rise's oc Maverick, and I got inspired to try my hand at her as well. Muscular women have always been difficult to draw for some reason, but I do feel like I've gotten better at it.

I have not slept properly for three days. I do want to record another speedpaint at some point soon, but I need to get some rest first. Any potential requests for what you want to see me draw would be appreciated. ♡

Character development is fun.

My tragic son, Shogu, 10+ years apart. The first design is from way back in 2008-9 ish, and the second one is what he looks like now. Much angrier and much older. The first one was such an animu edgelord. 🤦‍♀️

I remember that he lost some fans when I changed his nose, lol. 😂

The first one looks so wrong to me now... He was waaay shorter back then, too. At some point I may draw what he looked like when I first made him back in 2006, but that design was terrible so we'll see if I dare to revisit that shitshow. 😅

It’s been fifteen decades since I drew something digitally, but it went strangely smooth regardless. I’ve been drawing fanart of this boy too much, but pffft. He’s a cutie and I like him. Also, since @starr-fall-knight-rise made his most recent adventure hella soulcrushing I wanted to draw him being a little bit less miserable. :’D There are a million things I’m not completely happy with, but tbh I wasn’t trying to create a masterpiece. I just wanted to draw some simple fanart. (:
