Okay but really though, funimation; an American anime companyĀ Ā ruined Hetalia by giving the voice actors free reign to make any tasteless joke they wanted when recording the dub. Thatās how we got the n-zi jokes, and anti Semitism yaāll are screaming about. if it wasnāt for the hetalia DUB making these so calledĀ ājokesā the anime Boston incident wouldnāt have happened and the fandom wouldnāt have been a awful mess in the early 2000s. It was Americans that ruined Hetalia and made it into something that wasnāt intended in the original Japanese airing, yaāll brought this on yourselves so you can shut the fuck up with yourĀ āHetalia promotes N-zismā accusations. cuz I thatās on the English dub which was made in AmericaĀ
Yep.
Thera the deaf ferret gets a surprise!

When you go to a haunted house, it may seem like youāre being funny by trying to scare the actors or jump out at them when you go through a second time, but guess what? ITS NOT FUNNY.
You pay us to scare you. It is your choice to go, so donāt fucking go through if youāre going to ignore the rules and get too close to the actors as a ājokeā.
These bruises happened because over the course of 4 hours, several people ignored the instructions that CLEARLY stated that they were to wait in the front room until told otherwise. Rather than listen, they ran into the next room and slammed into me- effectively throwing me into the wall. This didnāt only happen once. It happened ten times at LEAST.
Then we had this asshole who thought that once I ādiedā for the haunt, he could pretend to kick me to see if Iād moved. I, being used to people abusing me- jumped back and slammed my head into the concrete wall.
YOU ARE NOT FUNNY BY BEING RUDE AT A HAUNTED HOUSE. WE ARE PAID ACTORS THAT YOU CHOOSE TO COME AND SEE PERFORM. YOU PAY US TO SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF YOU, SO DONT HIT US WHEN WE DO
I feel that this is relevant considering it is October and more Haunted Houses are opening up. I know it seems funny to scare the āmonstersā but all you do is hurt real people. So stop.
Itās not even October but Iām still spreading this
SIGNAL BOOOOOOOOSSSSSTTTTT!!!!!!! Now
Yeahā¦your director may want to consider reblocking
We donāt have a director? Or blocking??? Itās a haunted house bro, not a play
Reblogging for relevance-
I work at a Haunted House every October, and have been for the past few years. Our house in particular is staffed by Volunteer workers who are either earning credits for Graduation, or people who know the Family that owns the haunted attraction. In our City, weāre one of two Haunted Houses, so while we open in late September, we tend to get incredibly busy during the month of October and often work from 6pm until 2, 3am on weekends.Ā
We do not get paid to help out. Due to our location, we get a lot of drunk guys coming through, and a lot of āfunnyā teenagers. In my several years working there, Iāve seen Actors get grabbed and thrown, stomped on, kicked,Ā bitten, everything. A lot of the Actors at this attraction are young teenagers, Middle and Secondary School students, so this kind of abuse is terrifying and potentially emotionally scarring.
Thereās a position half-way through the house we call āPsych Wardā, and itās essentially a jump scare. The scare is a corner-room, boxed in with walls and broken windows, that the Actor pops out of and shouts and taunts the people going through. October, 2012, a couple were going through the Psych Ward corner and the scare went off as per usual. The girlfriend of this couple got very startled but laughed it off and continued on. The boyfriend, however, back-tracked and went up to the broken window and punched the Actor in the face for scaring his girlfriend. The Actor, who Iām going to call Tracy, had a black eye for a good two weeks solid and the couple had to be escorted out of the house and were banned from the property. Ever since weāve ruled that Veteran Actors (someone whoās been there for 3+ years) are the only ones allowed in this particular Scaring Spot.
HeĀ paidĀ to get scared and then got violent when we delivered.
There are so many stories I can tell of ignorant customers banging back on scares and injuring the Actors inside, grabbing props from the actors and hurting them with it, destroying props because they thought it would be āfunnyā.Ā
I just want to raise awareness that the ACTORS ARE STILL PEOPLE. Weāre instructed to get the best kind of scare out of you, sometimes with no pay at all (like this particular attraction), so please respect our work.
We wouldnāt come to your job, mock you, and push you around trying to be āfunnyā. Donāt come to our job and do that to us!
I literally cannot believe people are angry over this post saying ādonāt fucking beat up actorsā
I work at a haunted hayride and a guy tried to dropkick me in the chest and knee me in the face because he thought it was funny.
I got in trouble for breaking character to tell him to fucking stop.
Ive been hit so many times this season it has left cuts and bruises. Back in 2015 I was fucking choked and dragged behind a wagon because a lady was drunk and her son had to pry her hands off me because IM NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH YOU OR FIGHT BACK.
Most recently, a customer groped my breasts and twisted my fucking nipples. Apparently, she did it to AT LEAST twenty other actors.
THAT IS SEXUAL ASSAULT YOU ASSHOLES. ITS NOT OKAY.
Most recently a customer fucking kicked me and sent me to the goddamned hospital.
WHEN YOU GO TO A HAUNTED HAYRIDE / HAUNTED HOUSE, REMEMBER YOU LITERALLY PAID US TO SCARE YOU.
THE ACTORS ARE REAL PEOPLE.
DO NOT FUCKING HIT US.
Why the fuck would you even do this holy shit
Hey guys i know this is out of theme but that comment from @witchcryptid was me and my old url. I plan on working this job again this year if at all possible, so hereās an added psa:
If your family or friend(s) force you into a haunting, be upfront as best you can and tell actors as they come up āplease do not scare me i am too anxious / scaredā and 9.99/10 times we will listen and leave you alone. just communicate with us even though we most often cannot communicate back.
We may be playing monsters, but we are NOT monsters.
Also, please remember to keep your hands off of us during your haunting, and also please try to step in or speak up if you see people trying to touch us, assault us, or talking about planning to touch or hurt a staff member.
We cannot do anything and will most likely get in legal trouble for touching you in defense.
Thank you and have a spooky fall š»ššš
Iā¦I feel really upset that this has to be a reminder ._.
I mean they should know youāreā¦justacting.
jesus christā¦
I donāt even do haunted houses (Iām one of those aforementioned anxious people) but boosting the signal because this is seriously not cool.
Hey guys itās that time!!
You paid for a ticket which means you consented to be scared!
As an ex haunt monster please for fucks sake if you KNOW your reflex is to strike when scared DO NOT GO TO THESE.
I accidentally punched an actor during a haunted maze because he popped out of the ceiling 5 inches from my face, and I immediately yelled out sorry and felt so fucking bad. I havenāt been to a haunted house or maze since because I now know I have a punching reflex.
To all the actors out there, I apologize on behalf of the accidental punchers. Iām so fucking sorry. And to everyone who punches actors on purpose, GO TO FUCKING HELL.
THIS
Literally-
wHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU DO ANY OF THIS??????
yOu pAYYY
mONEYYY
tOO gET SCARED.
DONT GET FUCKING VIOLENT WHEN THE PEOPLE YOU PAYED TO DO THEIR JOB, DO THEIR JOB.
I worked a haunted park for 4 years. My particular haunt gets especially busy the weekend of the Texas/OU game, and we serve alcohol on the grounds. One year I worked there, Texas lost the game, and my manager moved me from my usual location in an open hallway to a blocked off area with no visible entrance, to protect me from any drunken assholes who were pissed off about the game and wanted to take it out on the haunt actors. She was worried that I would be an especially vulnerable target, since I was relatively small and delicate looking.
Another year, one of my two scares was to pop out of a curtain in a hallway. I had an extremely drunk woman scream bloody murder, reach out and grab my throat, and squeeze for a second before seeming to realize what she was doing. At which point she let go of my throat to pull me into a bone-crushing hug, apologize (and say she loved me? she was very very extremely drunk) and then basically melt into a puddle on the floor. I had to get security to take her out of the house and out of the park.
Now, weāre a relatively well-run park. The attraction has very professional security, the houses are designed so that itās easier for actors to maintain distance/harder for customers to get into actor spaces, and traffic moves quickly enough most of the time that nobody really has a chance to get violent outside of the usual āI accidentally punched on instinct,ā which isnāt great, but is understandable (which is why we are supposed to keep our distance). We were also trained very specifically to keep an eye on body language to tell A, which customers were probably overwhelmed, and B, which customers were liable to get violent. The times Iāve gone there since I stopped working it, I actually frequently donāt get targeted for scares, despite being a small delicate looking girl, because my āIām a blind person who canāt see, must feel things in front of meā posture get registered as āI can and will throw hands if you scare meā. Most of the time, itās a very, very safe place to work, insofar as haunted houses go at least.
Except
We had a woman with dwarfism who worked for the park who had to stop working in the actual houses because one year while working the maze, she scared someone who apparently had a phobia of small people. He backtracked in the maze until he found her again and beat the shit out of her. She had to be airlifted out of the haunt and taken to the hospital. When she said she wasnāt going to stop working the haunt because fuck that guy, they overseers were nervous about it, so she agreed to become one of the characters that wandered the grounds so that she was always in an open space with a lot of witnesses and in easy reach of security.
The other people were just being irresponsible. Most of the time, itās just people being irresponsible. If youāre at a haunt, definitely do try to be responsible. Donāt be those people. Donāt drink so much that youāre not really in control, if you notice your instinct is to punch maybe hold onto something or put your hands in your pockets, remember that these people are actors who you paid to provide a service and donāt punish them for providing it.
But haunt actors, be aware (aware, AWARE- sorry that was part of the training)⦠the others were being irresponsible. But that guy who hunted down my co-worker, and the guys that my first manager was trying to protect me from, those guys are just fucking assholes, and if your haunt even has security, they wonāt know not to let them in. So always make sure youāre being careful and not giving them the opening to hurt you if you can avoid it.
itās unnecessary negative emotions time again

The CCs say: āHey, I want to cover something important. As some of y'all know, I am deeply engrained in the Deaf culture because I want to be an interpreter, and I have Deaf family. The world is slowly becoming more accessible, and I am proud of our progress.
However, I want to discuss this school. This is the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf. The school will be opening soon, but they do not let their students sign, they discourage it. And now they require masks, which means Lipreading is out the window.
This article [there is an article on screen behind them] points out that even without masks, teachers would often cover their mouths when they spoke. So they couldnāt lip read. Their reasoning? To ensure that their students were ālistening with their EARSā. Read that again.
Youāre taking away their [Deaf childrenās] language, they are not being given Dynamic Equivalence. They have nothing. When are y'all gonna learn that Deaf kids donāt need to be fixed? Please spread for awareness.ā

This idea is from the 1800s. It is incredibly harmful and outdated and I cannot express enough how angry this makes me. No child should have their communication taken from them and if you are uneducated in deaf history I highly recommend it because this sort of oppression is a common theme.
