Hello friends,
If I had one singular piece of advice for anyone at all it would be don’t be afraid to let go of anyone or anything. Even love can hold you back. You can look at people and things of the past and present fondly but if they don’t serve you spiritually and mentally let go of them. I have found the older and the more sober I get that I don’t need as much, I don’t expect as much from others and I expect more from myself.
That being said I don’t have many friends these days and I’m okay with that because the handful of friends that I do have are more in tuned with me because I’m more in tuned with myself. There is also no attachment with my current fellowship because there is no sense of ownership (caused by my own lack of self identity) in those friendships.
Live your own life. Speak your own truth. Walk your own path. You will meet beautiful and genuine people along that path. And then they will go their own way just as you will. Cherish those moments but don’t cling to them. Let go of the old you moment by moment. Keep evolving. Keep spreading love and kindness. And love yourself most of all. Never be afraid to let go.
