What if Shadow found Maria again?
Vessel of Destiny, an AU where, after Sonic goes super for the first time, the Chaos Emeralds kinda. Use him as a vessel while trapping his consciousness inside the emeralds. I need to flesh it out more, but the Emeralds are either trying to force destiny or change it (probably force it). I need to figure out more.
The conscience of the emeralds here is called Energy! Chaos is its own beast, so it wanted to give itself a shorthand/title to differentiate itself from Chaos.
I totally wanna see more of Sonic and Knuckles' dynamic early on. I imagine things go so much different in their first meeting because of Knuckles' ability to stop Energy from possessing Sonic.
