why do so many “icarus and the sun” artworks and stories portray the sun as a woman? do y’all know who controlled the sun? apollo. icarus is gay as fuck, y’all.
Sometimes it was helios, not Apollo. Icarus was still gay as fuck
“Icarus we just escaped prison don’t ruin it by flying too close to the sun”
[Icarus already fucking launching himself across the sky for the sake of some godly dick]

Golden Ratio Fractal. Fractals stabilize all of the energy waves flying through our Universe, and create an efficient and structured energetic highway upon which to travel. Fractals originate as an alignment of repeating energy vectors that provide for a stable interconnectedness of all energy systems in the Universe. Since these Fractals are energetic in origin, and since energy influences matter, they leave their mark in matter by creating repeating patterns seen throughout Nature. These repeating patterns are also found in the human body serving as a reminder that we all originated from the same source, and we are all connected. Fractals display self-similarity with the ability for objects to exhibit the same type of structure in all scales, large or small. Fractals give Sacred Geometry and snowflakes their structure. You can also find Fractal patterns in the branches of a tree, fronds of a plant, crystals, ocean waves, earthquakes, and even DNA. Not surprisingly, since Fractals originate as energy vectors, they are also observed in coherence patterns of brain function and in heart rate variability analysis. Dark energy existing in dark matter, consists of energy vectors creating repeating Fractals, and is what gives our Universe energetic stability through similarity in structure. On the earth plane, the energetic influence of Fractals is represented mathematically, allowing for the actual measurements of the physical components of these Fractals. Mathematical expressions of Fractals are seen in the Golden ratio, Penrose tiling, and the Fibonacci sequence. The Golden Ratio is a number found by dividing a line in two parts so that the longer part divided by the smaller part is equal to the whole length divided by the longer part. Roger Penrose, a professor of mathematics and physics, established that a surface could be tiled in an asymmetrical, non-repeating pattern using five-fold symmetry with two shapes based on the Golden Ratio. This pattern named Penrose tiling, and was later discovered to exist in Nature as the structure of quasicrystals. The Fibonacci Sequence is a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers, and is represented in Nature by the petals of a flower and the bracts of a pine cone. All structures and processes in Nature are Fractal.
Mystery Shack made of polymer clay, acrylic paint, hot glue, cardboard, and prayers. Just before I leave for college, I have finished! This has been My Project for the past week or so, between work and packing for my move. I had decided a while ago that I wanted to take a terrarium of plants from around our home with me to my dorm; home is my happy place, and I wanted to bring that to my dorm. After the Cipher Hunt I decided to do this along with it. Gravity Falls started my Freshman year of high school: it finished my Senior year. This show helped me not fear growing up and brought me some wonderful friends along the way. The Mystery Shack is my fictional happy place, and I thought it deserved a spot in my terrarium.

Written for the @sterekwriters Summer Bingo Tournament. For the prompt: Summer Camp
(I totally went over the word count limit with this one, oops)
When June finally arrives and, with it, the beginning of his last year at camp, Derek has no idea what to expect.
He and Stiles have been texting constantly since last summer, but neither has worked up to an actual phone call. Laura thinks it’s “cute,” Cora thinks it’s “boring,” and his mother won’t stop bringing up her own summer camp friend turned pen pal turned boyfriend from when she was Derek’s age.
“I’m not, like, writing him love letters or whatever,” Derek grouses, hunched over in the backseat of his parent’s sedan. Cora happily ignores the entire conversation from the seat across from him, in favor of whatever game on her phone she hasn’t yet beaten.
His mother glances at him in the rearview mirror. “I see. Still working up to it?”
Derek frowns and turns away to glare out the window at the passing scenery. He’s not “working up to” anything. He’s just texting. “Nobody writes letters anymore, mom.”
She hums noncommittally. “Still. Always a nice gesture.”
Gestures are not what Derek needs right now, though, barely a mile away from Camp Beacon, barely a mile away from Stiles, and uncertain where he stands.
They were reluctant bunkmates last year. Then, briefly, ardent enemies. And then, somehow, tentative friends. Mostly due to their respective friend groups all suddenly becoming besties with each other. They exchanged numbers the last day of camp, and Derek really didn’t think anything would come of it. But then Stiles texted him not forty-eight hours later to complain about his new class schedule and Derek found himself complaining right back before he realized what was happening.
Since then, neither of them have gone a day without sending something to the other. Even if it’s just a random emoji that Derek is pretty sure he doesn’t entirely get the nuances of.

A mathematician, like a painter or poet, is a maker of patterns. If his patterns are more permanent than theirs, it is because they are made with ideas.

Fact: Believe it or not, pansexuality is often confused for punsexuality. Punsexuality is the sexual and romantic attraction to anyone who makes good puns. However, because of pansexuals’ ability to make said great puns, there is often overlap.
