I know this sounds like a daft question but what's the accepted ship name for Elio and Oliver? Their names are too similar to pair well? Is it Olio? Because searching that doesn't come up with what I want. Then there's Eliver and that doesn't seem right either 🤷‍♀️

Haunted Mansion Canon

So I see a lot of Phantom Manor fans being upset about the changes etc. and I get it, if you love something like that and it changes it can't be fun. However I'm out here being a clueless wonder about any of it, getting confused about which characters belong to which ride and park, which ones are named which and who has multiple canon names and fan accepted names not to mention the varying threads of theories and storylines. If someone wants to lay it all out for me that'd be grand because I have no clue about a lot of it, it is as I've seen some hard core fans declare, murky at best 😂 much love to the entire mythology of it because I love what I do hear it's just very jumbled.

Personally, I don’t like the word Goy.

Not because it feels insulting, but because it define me depending on what I am not instead of what I am.

Cis does not mean “not trans”, it means “who identify with it’s gender of birth”.

Goy means “not jew”

To be called as such makes me feel uncomfortable, as if I was lacking something instead of being different but valid.

Well, first of all, it actually means "Nation” in biblical Hebrew (for example, the song “Lo yisa goy el goy cherev v'yilmadu od milchama" means “Nation shall not lift up sword against nation”). Hence, when we use the words, we are literally calling you “The people of the other nations” (as Judaism centres around peoplehood in a tribal sense). So, what you have an issue with is being called “a person who belongs to another Nation, rather than of Am Yisrael,” which…is exactly what you are? You do belong to another Nation/Tribe/Identity?

Secondly, lots of groups have words for people who aren’t of their ethnicity? Gadje, Haole, Pākehā, Padakoot, Gaijin, etc. It’s pretty common for groups of small people, especially in a tribal sense, to differentiate from themselves and the greater world—especially when they’re a vulnerable population, which brings me to my last point…

Our right as a persecuted people to describe our experiences as such entirely outweigh your discomfort with being called “not Jewish.” Your bio says your French. Mazel tov, you come from a country that has a long and storied history of ant-Semitism, and you have no fucking right to police how we relate to the persecution you inflicted on us. If you hadn’t segregated and oppressed for 2,000 years, maybe we wouldn’t have such a strong sense of otherness now, but you did, so I guess we’ll never know. Grow up and deal with it.

Nick and Diane

Spoilers to those who haven't seen the show or listened to the soundtrack but...Diane wants to phone her husband when she finds out what's going on and Nick wants to talk and she says she doesn't want to. For the rest of the soundtrack they become closer as the show goes on and they kiss as they are flying to Dallas, then Nick moves to Texas and proposes. What happened to her husband? Because when she gets through he's fine. I've only managed to listen to the soundtrack so far, not seeing it until next month but please enlighten me?

Joel is just terrible

So I've been sleeping on The Marvelous Mrs Maisel until now so I'm just going through the first season and I'm half way through and Joel is just terrible, he isn't redeeming himself at all and while I think my leanings towards not forgiving cheaters in anyway may play a part, I just don't feel sorry for him at all. He isn't managing any of it well and he frustrates me, I'm aware Zach Levi will appear eventually but I can't wait until she's done with him. I also like the idea of her and Lenny but that's a bit of a crack ship. So okay there's my random thoughts.

Episode order!?

I stopped listening for a long time because I got super busy, but I need to know why every podcast platform I find that has night vale is in order and randomly between episode 100 and 101, episodes 39 and 28 show up!? Their titles aren't even the same as the 39 and 28 that are in the right slots. It's really irritating I don't understand why they're there with the correct date for if that was that months episode but the title is always wrong, am I missing something?
