Raya hair by ah00b for Paralives

I've finally finished and uploaded a conversion of @aharris00britney's Raya Hair for Paralives which can be found on the steam workshop here it includes the default version with edges and one without the edges as two separate hairs both of which include variants with hair behind one shoulder and behind both.

I still need to make the ends of the hair recolorable but I’ve finally got almost everything else done for all three versions of ah00bs lovely Raya hair plus a version without edges

#paralives #while working on it when in paramaker I was using my default tester para (right one) and every time I did it lowkey sent me #cuz i was like white baby you can’t be dressing like that which inspired me to make a version without edges lol #also the para modeling the one with edges was just like a random para it gave me when opening the paramaker and I was like omg ur so pretty #and promptly added her to my saved households so that I could use her to model the hairs

I mean you can check, if you want to… they posted updates constantly so like, you can literally go see what they were doing for seven years, if you wanted to…

#paralives #brother they had a patreon so they literally had to keep people updated or people would unsubscribe #which my hot take is that going thru patreon and not kickstarter is why we are getting a game #kickstarter gives devs a massive amount of money all at once which easily leads to devs who get the money and soon realize they are in way #over their head and so they panic and vanish with the money and no game to show for it #(I’ve watched a lot of videos on failed kickstarter games)#idk maybe I’m desensitized to early access jank #like I’m realizing most of the games I’ve played I got while in ea #oxygen not included I got in ea baldurs gate 3 I got in ea raft I got in ea #all games I have 100s of hours in so like maybe I’m just too used to ea #and updates on behind the scenes stuff was significantly more sparse (though they also weren’t publicly funded so less expectation for it)

I converted some hairs by @aharris00britney for paralives, i posted them on the workshop and forgot to share here but you can find them by searching ah00b in the workshop ^w^

its worth noting that paralives hairs do not have morphs, this means that hairs that are long and rest on the chest may have clipping issues, ill continue looking for possible fixes but for now its unavoidable

Sooo I’ve got the sims 4 hair mesh weighted and attached to the paralives rig and I’ve realigned the uvs and textures to fit within the paralives uv layout but I’m kinda stuck at making a proper color map for the hair I’ve never had to do one before and the info I’ve found on making one for sims 4 hair has been alpha specific so for now I’m stuck T.T

having early access mods for an early access game (that just came out, mind you) is absolutely bonkers.

and here i was thinking that the more relaxed approach of paralives would lend itself to a more relaxed modding scene. like things are supposed to be.

Currently redownloading sims 4 so that I can use sims4studio to extract the meshes of cc hairs to then upload to paralives

Taking a break for the night but I’ve extracted the mesh for a simple long hair that just goes down the back and fitted it to the paralives human rig and just need to adjust the weight paints so that the hair doesn’t move weirdly when the paras do stuff with their arms

Gonna go walk into a river it didn’t extract the uv so I’m gonna have to either try again from scratch to see why it’s being like this or unwrap it myself the thought of which makes me want to shoot myself into the sun
