If you think he hit Guzma, I disagree. I think Guzma bent the clubs while practicing because he didn’t WANT to be a golfer, he wanted to be a captain.

After all, Black/White showed us that even Bianca’s father abides by the rule of “Pokémon battles decide everything”. Which is why I think when Guzma’s father then mentions he tried to “set that boy of mine straight”, he’s talking about a Pokémon battle.

Still, he seems emotionally manipulative and I can’t fully say whether I can sympathize with him or want him gone. That’s just my opinion though.

I see where your coming from about it maybe not being physical abuse, but the main point of the post was how incredibly sad and uncomfortable this old house was.  

If you go into the back of the house you can meet Guzma’s mother standing in his old room where she says that all of the rumors about her son can’t possibly be true.  While I do think you should give people the benefit of the doubt Guzma’s mother just seems to be in denial about what her son has been doing all these years.
