saying this as a lesbian who loves women's boobs--sexually, even! but i don't think that we as a society should consider breasts inherently female or inherently sexual. a flat chest should not be seen as the "default" for gender neutrality but instead just one way a person can present. boobs should be normal. anyone of any gender can have boobs
you know what you shouldnt do? constantly tell your child how expensive they are to take care of. because eventually, that child gets scared of asking for money, and doesnt feed themself at school, doesnt go places with their friends that require money, because she doesnt want to be expensive. it really does get into their minds, that theyre too much money and that they shouldnt do anything.

currently being held hostage by an army of horseflies. they marched their smug asses into my bedroom as i was doing Very Important Things (watching star trek and painting my nails)
as soon as i saw them, i let out a manly shriek (very deep voice) (6'4" btw) and ran out of my room as i have had several run ins with these sick, twisted freaks before. they flew around inside, taunting me, looking for my valuables. they didn't know that my only valuables are a laptop that sounds like a boeing 737 and a 720p monitor i scrounged off of my stepfather 5 years ago.
attempt after attempt to sneak back in so i could sleep. alas, the buggers were sitting pretty on my bed, and would swoop at me as i attempted to enter what is, you know, my bedroom. my attempts to kill the creatures, a line i almost never cross, were in vain, as they angered. at this point i went to the bathroom to give myself a pep talk, and my bath was looking awfully tempting.
while sitting on the toilet (where i do my best thinking) i googled "why the fuck are horseflies so evil," "why can my horseflies find me at night" and "how to get rid of horseflies quick." no results. truly a testament to the dead internet theory that not even reddit knew what to do. i even considered using my cats as a feline shield, but they were sleeping and also i think that's animal cruelty (?)
in one final fit of madness, i threw my bedroom door open, waking up all 3 cats in the house. all 6 beasts inside my room lurched at me but i ducked them matrix style (i waved my arms wildly around and screamed a little.) i threw myself under my covers and wrapped myself up so tightly, i was an impenetrable fortress. unfortunately, ireland (where i live) is going through a terrible heat wave so i fear i may die in this cocoon

Another one for Inuit artists is Piqsiq! Two sisters who’ve been doing traditional throat singing since they were kids. They make some really gorgeous, eerie, atmospheric stuff. Highly recommend watching this video of them performing live a cappella using a looping machine, because they might be the coolest people on the planet actually

For anyone into North Asian and Central Asian folk music, there's this incredible Siberian folk-pop band called Otyken! The group is mostly women and they're from multiple indigenous groups in Siberia, with songs being sung in their range of different languages. They're so much fun and their music videos are amazing!
i'll go ahead and recommend The Halluci Nation (formerly known as A Tribe Called Red), an EDM group from First Nations Ontario that do really cool fusions of First Nations music with dubstep, moombahton, and hip hop.
I really really really appreciate people who share videos on posts like these, because almost without a doubt every time I love the music but I’ve never got the spoons to click on links and look through a bunch of music or worse google the artist I always end up too overwhelmed to start and I hate that
Haven't seen Belle Sisoski here yet so here we go: she's the current Artist of Year for BURO impact Awards. She's from Malaysia and knows how to play an insane amount of ethnic instruments and mixes them with her own voice. She does covers and her own songs, mixes ethnic instruments with Techno and shows the process. And she's also a live DJ at 19!

buffy is a terrible show to recommend (it is in my top 3 despite this) because you have to give a 20 minute warning on the blatant racism and misogyny and homophobia and ableism and
was at a buffy quiz the other day, and a chant of "fuck you parker abrahms" was started. other notable events being, in a question about giles' lovers "he rode joyce on that police car like a pony" followed by someone yelling "twice!" and people drunkenly crying to the buffy and angel theme from becoming part two (you know the scene)
