I don’t know you, but I want you all the more for that.

[The interesting thing though is that its a love story but you guys barely touched through the whole thing] I think that’s the best part. I think it’s very lifelike, the story. Sometimes you meet these people in your life and it’s not meant to work out but they change you for the better. And that actually sometimes the strongest love can be someone you never touched. – Cristin Milioti
The Tony Award and Grammy Award winning musical Once plays its final Broadway performance on January 4th. It played 22 previews and 1,167 regular performances.

“Please try to be patient, and know that I’m still learning; I’m sorry that you have to see the strength inside me burning.”

Unapologetically took illegal snaps last night of all my #oncetour loves. So many ugly cries in the audience. #travelingheart #milujutebe ❤️🎻🎼😍
In John Doyle’s Reconceived Production of Once, Actors Play Instruments Onstage
Tony Award-winning director John Doyle is aiming for Broadway once again, this time with a radically reimagined and reinvented production of Enda Walsh, Glen Hansard, and Markéta Irglová’s musical Once. Under Doyle’s direction, the actors in this production of the musical (winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2012) provide their own orchestral accompaniment. The actor who portrays Guy, for instance (Tony nominee Raul Esparza,) plays guitar throughout the show as he delivers much loved songs such as “Falling Slowly,” while the actress who plays Girl accompanies him on piano.
“It’s time,” says Doyle, “to bring back much loved hits that the audiences yearn and crave for. But to wrap them in a familiar package would be heinous.” According to Doyle, Once is set to move to Broadway within the next few months. Official dates yet to be announced.
