Oooh! Soldier Boy fucking Homelander while he's regressed making him regress further until all he can do is babble and cry on his daddy's cock oh DELICIOUS

Save me Persia era Erik save me
â Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Count Vronsky will always be book accurate Raoul de Chagny to meâ
Christine Daae isn't an angel. She isn't perfect. And yet, both Erik and Raoul take turns placing her on these pedestals. It doesn't help that she is in fact a fundamentally very decent person, so it's easy to make the mistake that she's a saint, which she isn't. She's just a decent person. That's probably one of the hardest parts of the whole story for her, feeling maybe like she doesn't deserve all this intense worshiping.
Her going with Raoul is a good choice for a lot of reasons, but not least of which is because he is eventually capable of seeing her as a whole person when he doesn't let his puppy love blind him. They both have the ability to switch from "My brave sailor! My Little Lotte!" mode to "Hey, actually, you're being kinda full of shit right now" with the ease of two people who've known each other since childhood. And both being dreamy airheads, they need this to anchor them.
With Erik, there's never an anchor. When he lets her go, yes, he is recognizing her humanity and agency, but she is more than ever the Perfect Angel with him but a poor dog ready to die for her. He lets her go because he knows he'll never be capable of being a fair partner to her. And it's romantic and sad, and that's what I love about their dynamic.
Christine: My brave heroic sailor! I dared you to eat earwax and then boogers and you actually did it.
Raoul: My Little Lotte! who never wears the eyeglasses that I know you actually have but so one day you walked into like three lampposts in a row until I swapped which side of the road we walked
Okay I literally have no idea how to square this circle BUT
One of my favourite daddaughter kingdon concepts is that Mel is an affair baby from when Abby was pregnant with their youngest and wouldnât let him fuck her. Melâs mother was a nurse at the hospital where Langdon is an attending (sorry Becca, youâre her older half sister, no twins in this) and she tells him that itâs no problem to pass the baby off as her husbandâs so he doesnât need to worry about it. Only heâs a possessive freak and it makes him insane to think of his daughter growing up thinking someone else is her daddyâŠ
I just want obsessed dad Langdon grooming his underage daughter Mel but the details escape me đ§
This ended up being waaayyyy longer than I expected so here's an Ao3 link as well
Okay anon, I'll admit when I first read this I wasn't sure what to do with it either but then my mind ran away. I actually don't know what the fuck came over me with this one but I really hope you like it.
anyway, here's like 2.8k+ words of obsessive!frank and underage!mel
----
Frank knows that by all means this is the best case scenario.
He cheated on his wife and got another woman pregnant. Things could have gone much worse. And knowing someone is loving and taking care of his daughter â that she's not stuck in the foster system, or worse â should satisfy him.
But it doesn't.
He'd been in the delivery room when Mel was born. There'd been complications with her mother post-delivery, so it was Frank she'd been handed to first. The second he'd felt her skin to skin something just clicked. Abby had given birth by that point and he recalled how happy he'd been to hold little Becca the first time, but this was different. With Mel it was like... recognition. Like she was destined to be his, and God help him if he didn't belong to her too.
He understood that reality didn't care about how he felt. That it made the most logical sense for his little Mel to live with her mother and the man who would pretend to be her father.
But it drove him crazy. She was his.
My new favorite thing is journalism that treats the United States like we do other countries.
tank tops save lives everybody!!!
For anybody not caught up: Tennessee just passed a new map that pretty much makes it so black neighborhoods have no power in local votes. Two things about this. While protestors were chanting "No Jim Crow", white Tennessee lawmakers were caught laughing on video. On top of this, Representative Justin Pearson and his brother KeShaun Pearson were arrested for trying to give their takes on the matter (which is not only their legal right but literally his job). If you give a shit about black people, help fight this. We can't allow a return to Jim Crow.
Heyyy guess where I live
A local paper had some great photographs, all taken by Nicole Hester:
The day before, Rep. Justin Pearson tries to attend a Senate Committee meeting and is barred access by the Sergeant at Arms.
Lawmakers and protesters link arms as the descend the capitol steps.
Once inside the chamber, Democratic representatives continued to stand together with arms linked.
They continued standing together with arms linked as votes were cast.
Democratic representatives take a group photo protesting the redistricting.
Rep. Justin Jones burns a photo of the Confederate flag with the words, We will not go back.
And stomps the ashes.
KeShaun Pearson being escorted from the building by the Staties.
KeShaun Pearson (left) being taken into custody. Rep. Justin Pearson (right) showing his support of his brother.
Additional information: State lawmakers have been gunning for Pearson and Jones nearly their entire terms. Most notably, in 2023, the House expelled them for participating in a protest at the Capitol. Their districts had to have special elections to have them reinstated.
Pearson is one of the plaintiffs of a lawsuit seeking an injunction against the redistricting.
The city most affected by the redistricting is Memphis, where locals are fighting against xAI's data center, which has been operating with very little oversight and is poisoning the people who live there. Here is a previous post on that with more information and more sources.
Happy 20th anniversary to They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard specifically
The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) dir. Chris Weitz
Apparently my brain has been taken over by Twilight currently and specifically Jella because I'm team Jacob TRASH and always will be (sorry for being a brown girl wanting the brown boy to win...) ANYWAYS-
I love the movies, I really do but they lose something. New Moon is of course my favorite but the book is amazing for the little things. Jacob doesn't have to be told that Bella doesn't enjoy music or the fact that he shouldn't bring up Edward or the Cullen's in general, he learns that on his own from the way she reacts and says nothing just changes. Doesn't even bring it up just tries his best to be the distraction she needs. Bella calls him again and again "my Jacob" when he's acting more hardened like being a wolf made him vs when he lets his guard down and lets her in. She calls him her own personal sun as well and just AHH
Jacob doesn't turn for so long even though he's from an alpha line because Bella makes him so unbelievably happy... Their "breakup" scene made me SOB when I was like 9 because I don't know that hurt worse than what Edward had done. Him breaking the rules to come see her and apologize afterwards. Just the pack dynamic as a whole god I love it so much...
Edit: THE RUNNING AWAY SCENE. BELLA LITERALLY SAYING SHE WOULD LEAVE WITH HIM TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL. COME ON-
