Time for some angst~! Can you do a reader that is one of Eraqus students with the wayfinder trio before, during and after the events of BBS?

HOO BOY you guys know how do ruin me :’ ) BBS-era wayfinder trio angst (and i mean angst) coming right up!~

Before

- You were a student of Eraqus’s long before Ven was, but when he joined the ranks you loved the way that he fit into your strange family so well, encouraging you, Aqua and Terra to join him watching the stars, collecting old books, and making jewellery with each other. Training was a chore, but Aqua and Terra always took it so seriously - it seemed sometimes that their worth hinged on the Mark of Mastery exam. You, on the other hand, were happy to wait until it was the right time to become a Master - if that ever even happened. Eraqus’s teachings were always so absolute and, at times, frightening. Talks about the importance of the balance of light and dark were difficult to grasp. Although you loved your friends, it felt… odd at times to hold the Keyblade.

During

- As things began to fall apart and Terra and Ven ran away, Eraqus was adamant that you didn’t leave, too. Of course, being a master, he trusted Aqua to put everything right - but you knew that that was a big thing to ask of her, and that it could ruin her if she didn’t have anyone to rely on. It was for this reason that you went against your Master and fled the Land of Departure, too, with the hopes of bringing everyone back together to discuss the real issues Terra was facing.

- Terra was the first person you bumped into. Much like he told Ven, he wanted you to go home, as he was on a path that he had to walk down alone. You laughed at him and his resoluteness; you knew Terra could be too-serious at times, but this was ridiculous. Your laughter didn’t last long, though, as Terra looked like he’d changed in an indescribable way. Your best friend truly wanted you to leave him alone.

- You turned back to the Land of Departure, but found Aqua in the lanes between. Together, you teamed up to ‘right the wrongs’ that Terra stumbled into across the worlds, and Aqua commended your ability to put your faith in the light. But… when she suggested things like that, you felt as unsure as ever. The light was tearing your family apart just as much as the darkness was.

- By the time you and Aqua hear the news about Eraqus’s demise and see your home fade into darkness, you decide you’ve had enough. Terra, Aqua and Ven all thought they were doing the right thing - but none of them could see that they were hurting each other. It was tearing you apart, and you blamed the Keyblade.

After

- You vowed to never summon your Keyblade again, and you don’t know what happened at the Keyblade Graveyard. Your friends vanished; and you never heard from them again. You go to the one place where you felt at home - the Radiant Garden - and decide to live a simple life there as a guard for its ruler, Ansem the Wise.

- Ansem reminds you of Eraqus in a way; very resolute in his ideologies, and always believing that he’s doing the right thing. The people he surrounded himself with, too, reminded you a little of your lost family; Braig was always getting into trouble like Ven, Evan would scold him like Aqua, and Dilan would stand stoically in the corner pretending not to be amused like Terra.

- When Xehanort appears, you know he looks like Terra. You almost convince yourself that he is Terra, but there isn’t even a flash of recognition in his eyes when he looks at you. You chalk it up to wishful thinking, and curse your mind for torturing you. You don’t get to the bottom of that mystery before your Garden falls to darkness and becomes Hollow Bastion, casting you away to Traverse Town with the townsfolk you swore to protect.

- Years pass, and there isn’t a day goes by you don’t think of your friends. The world has dealt you one blow after another and, yet, you can’t bring yourself to forget the teachings of your old Master. A part of your heart never gives up; a light still exists within you, and that takes shape as hope that, one day, a hero will appear and set everything right. One day.

marluxia, demyx, luxord, and zexion with a male s/o? tyvm! <3

OOOOOOOH these are very good choices, anon! some of my absolute fav boys here <3 i hope i do not disappoint!

Marluxia

- Marluxia paints his S/O’s nails different colours basically every other day, and often tries to incorporate some kind of floral design. He’s getting a lot better at not having such shaky hands when Marluxia paints them, if only to avoid Marluxia’s tutting every time he flinches.

- When they first got together, Marluxia was absolutely horrified by the existence of the 6-in-1 in his S/O’s bathroom. He made it his personal mission that day to kit his new boyfriend’s bathroom out with expensive things that didn’t smell like dish soap; and his S/O is secretly very happy to use all this fancy stuff.

- Marluxia definitely encourages him to use pet names whenever possible, especially my love. Marluxia is a huge romantic at heart and likes everyone in the room to know exactly who is boyfriend is and how much they adore each other - he likes to make a show of how lucky he is, and all his S/O can do is put up with it because, well, he’s incredibly lucky too.

Demyx

- Demyx brings his S/O to Organisation poker nights with Xigbar, Xaldin, Luxord and Lexaeus, even though he’s only just recently been invited himself (in exchange for not telling Saïx that there’s gambling going on in the castle). Much to Demyx’s dismay, his S/O’s actually pretty good at card games… and gets his own invites now!

- (NSFW-ish) Demyx writes a lot of songs about his S/O, but it takes a lot of begging for him to write one without mentioning his dick. Yes, Demyx, it’s a very easy word to rhyme with, but the romance gets sapped out of the situation pretty quickly when they can hear Axel laughing from the other room.

- Demyx uses his S/O as an excuse for everything that goes wrong in terms of his responsibilities. If he didn’t fill out a report correctly or if sentry duty just happened to be forgotten about, he’d tell the superiors that his S/O was either sick, sad, or in danger. It’s a lie every time, of course.

Luxord

- Luxord loves taking his S/O on trips to Port Royal for bar crawls which often end in the two of them walking along the shoreline as Luxord points out all of the ships he can name by memory and which one he’d commander if he had the chance. The two of them attempted it once or twice, but were always chased away by the pirates.

- Luxord very rarely loses a game of cards, but he often (very obviously) throws a game for his S/O. Usually they play not-so-serious games with ridiculous forfeits, which Luxord absolutely doesn’t mind doing for the hilarity of it all. This is exclusive to his S/O - he’d never throw a game for anyone else.

- He really enjoys quiet time with his S/O, either reading next to him or just silently watching the world go by from the window. These quiet times remind his S/O just how deeply Luxord considers everything that’s going on, but when he’s so lost in thought he’s at his most beautiful.

Zexion

- Zexion is absolutely the type of boyfriend to make his S/O carry stacks upon stacks of books around for him in the library, slowly piling up as the two walk through the shelves to the point where his S/O can hardly see where he’s going anymore. Of course, Zexion is going to read every single one of those books - but it’s also very amusing to see his S/O try and be so chivalrous. 

- He definitely hides behind his S/O in situations where he’d rather just melt into the floor - such as, for example, when there’s a lot of people in the room who need answers from him about some recent experiment or the other. Having a human shield is pretty perfect for Zexion’s need to shut the world out sometimes…

- Zexion lets his S/O push his hair behind his ear so that he can see his whole face, albeit not very often. It’s very special when Zexion looks at his S/O with his full face forward, as he’s so used to hiding behind what’s essentially a mask for the majority of his life. He’s considering buying a hair clip, since his S/O says it’s so nice to see all of him…

hello!! it’s nice to be back! it’s been a really long time but thank you so much for your patience, and here’s your hcs for the best boys~

Sora

- Sora is a huge fan of travelling with his S/O; and that doesn’t even have to be very far. Even just a short trip to the grocery store or a look around the nearest city is enough for him - he feels like he’s on an adventure however little the distance, and that’s what he loves. He also tends to try his best to take charge in situations when you take public transport, like asking for two tickets from the bus driver or trying to spot your train on the timetable before you do!

- Sora is also really up-to-date with everything that’s happening in terms of events like flea markets, outdoor cinemas, pop-up coffee shops and the like near you, and he’ll (try to) take you to every single one. He’s really invested in having as many experiences with you as he can, and you can bet that he documents every single one with thousands of pictures.

- Of course, he’s also a huge cuddler and always wants to have his arm around you. It makes it a little clunky to walk around next to him since he always wants to be as close as possible, but it’s one of the most endearing things about him! Naturally, it can be a little annoying when it’s a really hot day… 

- (NSFW) Let’s be real here, Sora isn’t… the most experienced boyfriend, and sex definitely isn’t something that is super important to him in a relationship. In fact, every time you’re intimate with each other it’s a really big deal to him - as if it’s the first time he’s touched you in that way. He’s always really gentle and stops to ask you if you’re alright all the time, so you have to really rile him up if you want things to move a little faster! 

Roxas

- Roxas always wants to learn about the things that you share with him, and loves being able to engage with you about seemingly useless stuff that ends up with the two of you having very long, very philosophical discussions. These conversations definitely last for way longer than they should and can end up going on well into the night - at which point they end up being a little conspiracy-theory esque. It’s funny, since you didn’t expect him to be awake at 4am with you discussing whether or not the complex human consciousness was born from an ape eating a magic mushroom, but… here you are…

- Roxas’s bedroom is full of diaries, scrapbooks, and odd pieces of paper with half-finished to-do lists and reminders he never ended up reading. As such, he’s the type of person who writes down his feelings rather than openly expressing them, and you’ve come to really enjoy catching him at his desk when he’s scrawling away. You pretend you never noticed the journal titled ‘poems and shit I’ll never read to Y/N’.

- (NSFW) Roxas is definitely the kind of person who uses sex as stress relief, and he’s definitely a lot less visibly frustrated after he met you. Being with you mellows Roxas out better than anything else can - seriously, you thought you might be magic at one point when he seemed to forget how mad he was at Axel for setting up a prank that ended up getting you.

Axel

- Being in a relationship with Axel is a constant battle to decide whether or not he’s being insensitive or if teasing is his love language. You’ve figured out that it’s definitely the latter, but that doesn’t do much for him when you wake up next to each other and you compliment his eyes only for him to gag at your apparently-awful morning breath. Naturally, you overcome this issue by near-constantly telling him his hair’s gone flat, which he believes every single time.

- Despite Axel’s proficiency with fire magic, he’s a terrible chef and can hardly feed himself. His diet consists mainly of ice cream bars, sugary cereal and, if he can be bothered, frozen pizza. His metabolism must be going a mile a minute, since he’s so damn skinny, but that’s something else entirely. Because of this lack of skill, it’s always the funniest thing in the world to see what he whips up for you when you ask him to treat you to dinner at his place. Some of your favourites so far have been jam sandwiches, a ‘salad’ consisting only of lettuce and dressing, and instant ramen transferred to a fancy bowl he borrowed from Naminé.

- (NSFW) Axel’s voice is one of the many things about him that drives you insane, and he’s very privy to that fact. Whenever you’re heading home from somewhere - especially when you’re with a group of friends - he makes it a point to take you to the side at least once to whisper in your ear about what he’s going to do to you when you’re alone before acting completely normal a moment later. Of course, you can’t be too mad at him, as he always keeps whatever he’s promised you.

Vexen

- Vexen’s crush on you would come entirely out of the blue. As a man who lives by the fundamentals of science, he rarely had time for the arts - and then you came along. Catching you doodling nature when the two of you went on walks and documenting new Heartless that excited you opened up a new avenue of expression for the Chilly Academic, and he’s considered more than once buying a set of charcoals to try his hand at sketching. If he was to find your sketchbook, left clumsily on the large windowsill in the library the two of you frequented, it’d take far more willpower than he had not to open it - his curiosity always gets the better of him. He took longer than he’d admit staring at your drawings, flicking through the pages incredibly carefully, but, without a doubt, the page he stayed on the longest was the small portrait of him. His face was completely red when he closed the book, and he never quite decided whether to confess to you what he’d seen.

Xigbar

- Between schemes and beating up Heartless, Xigbar’s never had any time to learn much about art - but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have an opinion on most of it. He’s seen a vast array of arts in the worlds he’s visited, from the grand architecture of Olympus to the colourful mosaics in the Kingdom of Corona, but he’s always had a soft spot for smaller, more personal pieces. What piqued his interest about you was your attention to detail when something caught your eye - you’d spend hours upon hours trying to project what you had in your mind onto paper, and he both respected and was intrigued by that - you were beautiful, especially when you drew. Of course, given the first chance to take a look at your drawings for longer than the few seconds you allowed him to look over your shoulder, he’d take it. Seeing a study into the way he moved on the battlefield, complemented by little scribbles of “HOW DOES HE STAY UP THERE?” and “LEGS SHOULDN’T DO THAT” had him in hysterics. 

Lexaeus

- Lexaeus has always been pulled towards people who can step back, observe and process the information in front of them - it’s what he did as a Guard, and it’s what you do as an artist. Unlike most people, Lexaeus’s first impressions of you were very high - he’s often put off by the coarse personalities of his comrades, but you’re a lot different. They only kept getting better; he enjoys your quiet but intellectual company, and he appreciates your artistic ability not to judge a book by its cover. The two of you have spent a lot of time, sitting somewhere scenic, enjoying the breeze and the sound of your pencils and paints brushing against your paper. The Silent Hero has a great respect for your personal space despite his feelings, so the only way he’d happen upon a drawing of him in your sketchbook would be that you’d left it open on that page - he’d be completely dumbfounded that you’d decided to place your talents into sketching him. 

Xaldin

- Xaldin’s interest in the arts is something he keeps very close to him - he’s got a tough outer shell that spurs people to look the other direction, most of the time, but when he passed by you in the castle and complemented your technique, you decided to press him for the types of things he likes to draw. It turns out Xaldin’s keenness to experiment also applies to his art - his styles and mediums are all over the place, and his room is full of watercolours, chalks, paints, and inks. Naturally, you shared your creations with him, too, but you didn’t expect him to flick through the entire book, landing right on the page where you’d drawn him sitting across from you. He was more flustered than you were to see it - something that you did not expect - but he was thankful nonetheless. In return, he offered to paint your portrait, and he expressed more patience and care in his work than you’d seen from anyone else, ever.

Sora

- Sora finds it really hard to act like a prince or, at least, someone who’s ‘courting’ royalty. He's a gentleman with you, of course, but he’s goofy as hell - he always seems to say something louder than he should’ve at royal gatherings. You both count your lucky starts that the King and Queen like Sora, otherwise you’d be in a lot of trouble for falling for him! When you’re together, you feel special in a way that isn’t defined by your crown. Sora is your best friend before anything else, and no royal expectations will ever change how he feels about you. He’d babble on to anyone who’ll listen about what a great ruler you’ll make.

Aqua

- Aqua is a very protective and loving person, especially around you. She’s ready to lend an ear when you’re stressed or worried about your Kingdom - you’re both used to having the weight of the world on her shoulders and you forged such a connection over that. It’s strange that she encourages you to be yourself while she holds such high expectations for the way she acts, so you have to remind her to be fair to herself, always. Aqua was the one who brought magic into the everyday lives of the people in your Kingdom; the spells she’s taught you can be breathtaking... and pretty useful for starting up the fireplace on cold nights, too!

Kairi

- As a Princess of Heart, Kairi is an amazing advisor - she took to your side instantly, and everyone in the Kingdom adores the two of you. She may blush at formalities or being treated like royalty, but she tries her hardest to make you proud of her. You love to train together and, even though she wields a Keyblade, she thinks the weapon you can summon is the most amazing thing she’s ever seen. Although you have a Royal Guard, it’s not uncommon to find the two of you sneaking past the Kingdom walls to have dates in the nearby woods, ready and waiting to strike down any Heartless who get in your way.

OF COURSE I HAVE ROKUSHI HEADCANONS!! i have head canons for every pairing under the sun from this damn game... i love writing about these key babies… thank you for requesting them!~

- Naturally, Roxas and Xion spend a lot of time on the beach together. Now they’ve got so much time to hang out, Xion’s love for collecting seashells has really blossomed; she’s taken to making jewellery out of her favourites now! Roxas’s arms have been slowly taken over by mismatched shell bracelets held together by multicolour threads, and it’s hard to catch him not wearing his favourite seashell necklace. When Xion started making earrings, Roxas went and got one of his ears pierced immediately and, thanks to that, Sora has a hilarious video of Roxas on his GummiPhone freaking out about how big the needle was. The blush on Xion’s face after Roxas showed her that he could wear her new creations was worth it, anyway.

- During their time in the Organization, the two keybearers used to fill out their mission reports together, even if they were on separate missions. Xion was always a lot better at reports - Roxas always had to ask her about the names of certain Heartless. They’d hold hands under the table they were working on without even realising it. It’s just what was comfortable to them.

- Talking about their Organization days is difficult for them, even if most of it is a blur. Discovering that they’d both kept their diaries led to a little reading session in one of Destiny Island’s treehouses one day. It was bittersweet to see how much their experiences reflected one another - they had good and bad days, and they missed each other when they were gone.

- Their first kiss was... strange, but sweet. Neither of them knew what they were doing and, even though they know they have hearts, emotions can be very unexpected and difficult things to deal with. After watching some of Kairi’s romcoms, Xion figured that kisses were supposed to be these big, sweep-you-off-your-feet type deals. Of course, she’s come to find, some of them can be, but they don’t need to be. The first time Roxas shakily touched his lips to hers unexpectedly on the Clock Tower one day was just as good as anything. He apologised like crazy for it!

- With a happy-go-lucky person like you, Xemnas would be very, very cuddly. You can’t tell whether it’s an attempt to shut you up or an attempt to calm you down, but the desired effect never comes to fruition - his affection just makes you happier! It doesn’t take you long to realise that Xemnas is far too perceptive to keep trying something that doesn’t work, so... does he cuddle you because it turns you into a giggly mess? Surely not!

- You’d make it your personal mission to hear Xemnas’s laugh as much as you can. When you finally manage it - normally through a particularly stupid joke that catches him off-guard or an over-the-top attempt to make him see the bright side of things - it sounds really out of place, and you love it. He’s pretty embarrassed of showing anything other than constant stoicism, but that’s not going to stop you!

- Xemnas would be pretty defensive around you, especially if any of the Organization members brought up the way you acted. To Ansem, cheerfulness is incredibly unnecessary, but Xemnas makes it a point that you’re always going to be allowed to be yourself, no questions asked. It seems to get to him that people think you’re an odd couple, even if you know you are.

- Xemnas would just barely put up with you if you were being overly affectionate with him, or at least that’s what he says. You can tell the way he tries to hide a smile when you kiss him on the cheek or the way he leans into you when you hold his hand means that he really adores it. You’re his special one, no matter how mismatched it seems.

— When the two of you first met, you couldn’t deny that there was something alluring about how seemingly cold and calculated Saix was. Of course, there didn’t seem to be any room in his mind for a relationship… but time changes everything. Hearing him confess that he’d grown to think of you as “more than an acquaintance” would’ve made you laugh if your heart wasn’t skipping beats the entire time. Being Saix’s significant other, you quickly found out that he has a lot of unearthed insecurities: he finds it hard to trust people in every sense of the word. It’s hard work for him to understand that he deserves your time and love, even if he’s willing to try and give you the same in return. Striking a balance when it comes to showing how much he cares about you is tough, too. You notice that he reaches for your hand so he can kiss the back of it a little too often and, as soon as you mention it to him, he stops entirely. He gets really caught up over how he’s supposed to act or what he’s supposed to do as your boyfriend… it’s telling that he’s had high expectations of himself for most of his life, but that won’t stop you.

— To your relief, he loosens up a lot when you manage to coax him away from the Castle that Never Was. You end up spending a lot of time together exploring places that haven’t been too overrun by darkness and it’s a bit of a shock that he prefers worlds like that. Now that the Destiny Islands are back in one piece, you enjoy taking him to the shore to watch the sunset. You make a lot of silly plans together to move there once the Organisation’s over and done with or — as he puts it — when he has a heart. You’ve got more than a sneaking suspicion that he already has one… but you’re wary of telling him that.

— When Saix tells you about his ex-friendship with Axel, you don’t know how to feel. It’s hard to believe that the two polar opposites had such good times together when they lived in Radiant Garden, and you can tell that Saix is hurt that he’s lost that connection. Saix always struck you as someone who’s been self-sufficient (read: lonely) for a very long time, and you even feel betrayed on his behalf. To calm you down, he explains that he told you about his past life because he wanted you to understand why he’s so methodical in his approach to everything; it was an apology for how long it took him to warm up to you. No matter what happens, you’ll never forget the way he hugged you, or the tears from his eyes that fell on your shoulder.

— Although Saix has such a negative opinion about the way he acts, you tell him that you admire his efficiency, especially in getting the unrulier members of the Organisation to fall in line. You’ve never met someone quite as controlled yet assertive as Saix, which throws him for a loop again. When he describes what he’s like to you under the power of the moon — berserk, unhinged, unstoppable — you’re in even more awe. He’s dumbfounded that you’d try and pick up his claymore instead of run in fear from someone like him wielding it, but utterly relieved. Nothing Saix can say or do can scare you off, and he aspires to be more open and thoughtful like you.

hi killjam! it’s nice to see you again!! i’m so sorry this took so long! there’s your request and one other i had left from last summer… but i really enjoyed my time in spain! without further ado, here’s your confession hcs ~

- No matter how or where you try to set up your confession, you’ve come to terms with the fact that Sora’s going to be completely oblivious to your intentions until you spell it out for him. Nonetheless, you want to try your best to set up a nice atmosphere, so you invite him to the Secret Forest after a long day of training and world-exploring. Lea was the one who told you about a clearing on the hilltop where butterflies gathered to watch the sunset, so that’s where you are now. Everything would be quiet if it weren’t for Sora playing with the butterflies, complaining about how badly he, Donald and Goofy got their butts kicked today. You’re trying your best to suppress the corny smile on your face when you look at your crush.

- Steering the conversation in the direction of your feelings would be another task in itself. You try to find inspiration from what should be a romantic setting — the wind rustling through the leaves, the birdsong — but in the end, you just end up blurting out to Sora that his smile makes you happy. Your smile makes him happy too, but… you have to tell him that it’s probably a different kind of happy. Everything you’ve kept in your head for so long ends up falling out all at once; he’s one of your best friends, and someone who’s helped you to see the light in the darkness. You’ve come to see him as more than a friend over the time you’ve spent together, and you’ve decided that it’s not fair for either of you to have that closed away.

- The entire time you’re explaining yourself, Sora would listen to you completely. His attention melts away from the butterflies and the sunset and everything else; you could swear there’s the faintest bit of colour on his face, but you’re trying your best not to be distracted by anything, too. Your admittance that you’re a little jealous of Kairi is the only thing that makes the sparkle in his eyes fade away and… for a brief moment, you think you’ve blown it. It’s a rare occurrence that Sora’s expression isn’t one hundred percent readable…

- After he takes a moment to think about his words for once, he holds your hands and tells you that you’re silly; out of everyone, in every world, you’ve convinced yourself that there isn’t enough room in Sora’s heart for everyone he cares about? Of course, he’s definitely blushing now — his face is more red than pink — and it means so much to him to hear you be honest with him. Someone considering Sora more than a friend is completely foreign territory and he’s pretty sure there’s more butterflies in his stomach than in the forest around you two.

hello, nonnie! i’m sorry if this is a little short but it’s a really cute concept, and i’m glad marly’s getting more love on this blog… he deserves more! requests are still open even though there’s a bit of a queue btw guys! ~

- Whenever you dance in front of him, even if you’re only practising in your pyjamas on a yoga mat, Marluxia will look at you intently with a serene, far-off look in his face. He says it’s because he’s mesmerised by your beauty when you move, and you remind him so much of a rose bush in bloom swaying in the wind that he can’t help but act the way he does around flowers. If he’s trying to be extra romantic, he’ll revert to his favourite nickname for you: “my fluttering petal”.

- Marluxia’s started to help you pick out the best music to go with whatever style of dance you’re practising even though music isn’t his strongest suit. He is, however, quite knowledgeable on things that go well together, so whenever he hears something on the radio or online that sounds nice, he makes a note of it for you. These notes have spiralled from odd bits of paper to a full dancing scrapbook, which the two of you love to add to with new music, choreography and costume ideas. To your surprise, Marluxia was more than happy to incorporate pressed flowers and flower crowns into the outfits you designed, and the two of you love to go conceptual with the pieces you perform.

- If you have a show to put on, your boyfriend will be the first to book a ticket in the front row and the loudest one clapping at the end of your set. No matter how embarrassed you get, you simply have to cope with seeing him mingling with the rest of the audience in the foyer after every show, boasting about his s/o and the wealth of talent you possess in comparison to every other “amateur” onstage.

- Since Marluxia moves with a level of grace in his everyday life, you were shocked to see him very anxious when you first asked him to dance with you. After probing him for answers, he tells you that he’s cautious of being taught things since he’s so used to being the best at everything he does - he holds his capabilities and self-esteem under so much pressure that it’s hard for him to show anyone, even you, his vulnerable side. When you finally talked him into sharing a dance with you, you could feel that it’d helped to unearth and deal with some issues that Marluxia had been holding in for far too long, and you’ve both got your talent to thank for that.

- Seeing you drowsy and sniffly made Roxas initially think that you’d just managed to not get enough sleep last night, but when you tell him that you’re feeling under the weather he’s a lot more concerned. All he wants to do is make you comfortable and get you through your cold quickly so you can go back to your old self, but he’s the first to admit that he doesn’t have a lot of experience with looking after people…

- You find it absolutely adorable when Axel tells you that your boyfriend’s been asking around for tips to help people with colds. Sure enough, Roxas serves you a far too large bowl of steaming hot chicken noodle soup that evening and the recipe card (if you could even call the scrawled piece of notebook paper taped to the fridge a recipe card) was titled ‘Aqua’s Chicken Soup’. You figure that it would’ve been a lot less hassle for you both if Aqua had made the soup herself, since the kitchen was in disarray and the taste was… pretty bad… but the gesture made your heart melt anyway.

- Roxas would also supply you with all the blankets, pyjamas, cold flannels, hot water bottles and glasses of water that you needed; since he’s always so driven to find a solution to everything, you can tell that it’s a struggle for him to see you poorly. He’d even start picking up the slack around your place, too, even though he’s naturally a little messy, just to save you overworking yourself with house chores when you start feeling better.

- After a couple of days of fretting over each other, Roxas finally figures out that the best way to ride out your cold isn’t by worrying himself sick - the best thing he can do is just put on a movie or some quiet music and stay by your side. If your head felt too heavy to focus on much, he’d talk to you softly and slowly about everything and nothing, lulling you away from a migraine as calmly as your usually hasty boyfriend possibly can.

358/2 days make the seasalt trio's bestfriendships pretty clear, but could I ask for some headcanons of how the other's would be as close friends to someone? like, a platonic x reader thing if that isn't too weird? (I didn't see a character limit so I hope it would be okay to ask for some short hc's for the Organization XIII members, or however many you'd be comfortable with. I'd be grateful for anything<3)

i’d like to start off by saying that this is such a lovely request to come back to!! mod just finished kh3 after about 60 consecutive hours of playing and crying and there’s over 200 of us now following the blog!! to celebrate me finally having the time i need to start writing again, requests are open! and, nonnie, there’s no character limit at all!!

Xemnas 

- Xemnas’s close friend would be in the know; he’d essentially treat you as the right-hand he likes to spend time with. He’d have a hard time not telling you the truth to any question you ask, top-secret or otherwise - you’ve even started catching him telling you off-hand things about his subordinates, which is always amusing to you both. However, in a mixture of pride and not wanting to scare someone he shares a true connection with away, it’d take a while for Xemnas to tell you about his past. He’d have to be sure that you wouldn’t react badly to any of it…

Xigbar

- Xigbar would be a huge show-off around his best friend; the quips, nicknames and trick-shots with his arrowguns would be laid on even thicker than usual - he likes to impress anyone worth his time. Although this might seem a little arrogant to the others you spend time with, you’d know that you’re the reason Xigbar’s pushing to be the best version of himself in his own, funny little ways. Besides the joking around, Xigbar would probably debate and share his knowledge with his best friend - there’s a lot to learn from him, and you’re not sure if that’s surprising or not.

Xaldin

- For Xaldin, having someone by his side for the first time in a while is a shock he’d try to cope with alone - be prepared for a lot of this semi-moping around and secretiveness. Sharing your burdens with him wouldn’t be a problem, but the second that somethings goes awry for him, he’ll protect you from it. It’s a long road to reverse how wary Xaldin is of everyone after the ordeals of his past, but having someone to lean on helps immensely. I think the two of you would find comfort in being lone wolves together; the smallest pack, but tightly knit.

Vexen

- You’d have more of a problem with what everyone else thought of you two than trying to become Vexen’s friend; anyone who shows genuine interest in his research is bound to get an earful of the latest experiment notes, but you’d have to overlook the sour opinion his fellow members seem to have of him. Vexen’s best friend would have to be completely alright with the strangest habits, and the two of you would likely fall into a routine of making sure he’s properly fed and rested before you can spend any actual time together… but, still, hanging out with one of the smartest men in the world has its perks.

Lexaeus

- Lexaeus would be the type of close friend to help you become strong - he’d enjoy finally having a partner to meditate and train with, and to see you listening to his advice as he tests your strength to see how far you’ve come would bring a smile to his otherwise stormy face. If the two of you became best friends, you might share some quiet inside jokes; maybe he’d always pretend to lose when you arm wrestled because it made you smile, especially if you were feeling blue. I wouldn’t expect any long conversations with Lexaeus, but he seems to enjoy listening to you.

Zexion

- Befriending Zexion would involve trying to drag him out of his study almost longer than the two of you actually hung out but, after a while, he’ll tell you that it’s your persistence that made him like you as much as he does. Despite how busy he is, Zexion would always make time for you, even if it’s something as simple as sitting on the windowsill together while you listen to him read or making sure that he hasn’t overdone it on a mission. You’d bring out the best in him - so much that you sometimes struggle to keep a straight face when he gets a little too enthusiastic about explaining something to you.

Saix

- Spending time with Saix would probably include a lot of paperwork and silence at first - he’s dedicated to his role in the Organization, but compiling reports and handing out missions requires a lot of prep… so perhaps he’d enjoy it if someone helped him to sort everything out. What starts as a work relationship would grow into a mutual admiration and, finally, you’d become relaxed around each other. Saix can become very frustrated when things don’t run smoothly, so it’s often up to you to cut everyone else some slack - you’d be like two sides of the same coin.

Demyx

- Demyx would want to do nothing other than practise music with his best friend, even if you don’t play an instrument. He’d call every time the two of you hung out a ‘jam session’, and after weeks of begging you to sing along to whichever tune he’d come up with today, it’d be a big moment in your friendship if you sung for him. Despite his own laziness, Demyx would encourage you to be confident - he’d love to experiment with your hair, make lyrics from your journal entries or sneak around in the castle’s off-limits rooms with you… it’s a relief to finally have someone who understands him in his life.

Luxord

- A friendship with Luxord would likely start with him taking pity on your poker face; although you swear to him you’re good at fooling people, he hands out gambling tricks to anyone who piques his interest. Of course, nearly all of your free time together at first would consist of mastering every game he throws at you, and it’s a breath of fresh air for Luxord to find someone to mentor. The two of you would infuriate the rest of the Organization, but you’ve never been able to one-up Luxord, and being his best friend means that you’ll have to accept that he’s always got the upper hand.

Marluxia

- Marluxia would love to teach his best friend about the beauty of flowers - you’d spend a lot of time walking through different worlds’ gardens, listening to the wealth of knowledge he’s held over the years about his element. Seeing Marluxia angry whenever a Heartless tramples through a patch of flowers is always just a little priceless, but you can appreciate the dedication he puts into the things he cares about, too. Naturally, you both have a problem with authority and you’re always up for gossip: feeding each other secrets is all in a day’s work with him.

Larxene

- Larxene would see her best friend as far above everyone else, and she may become a little jealous if she sees you mingling with anyone she’s not a fan of, but that’s nothing you can’t handle. Larxene’s high-and-mighty demeanour isn’t all bad, though - she’d never see you down on yourself for any reason because you’re worth much more than feeling bad to her. Surprisingly, it didn’t take you long to realise that Larxene’s sharp tongue comes from a place of vulnerability, but her apologies after snapping at you give you a lot of hope for the future.

- Although Ven is the most gentle, caring boyfriend in the world, he’s quite hyperactive, especially in the mornings. Even if you’re not a morning person, you’d better be prepared for kisses all over your face and a huge plate of messily buttered toast being shoved in your face at the crack of dawn. Ventus is the type of person who won’t see a single second of the day wasted, especially when he gets to spend it with you! The sentiment behind being so chipper with you makes your heart melt, but on certain mornings you’re forced to grab him and cocoon him in blankets for at least another fifteen minutes. You’ll never know where that boy gets all his energy from.

- Mornings aren’t the only times when Ven will (try to) drag you out of bed; he gets far too excited during the Land of Departure’s common meteor showers and doesn’t want you to miss a single one. Fortunately for him, these showers are absolutely beautiful and it’s amazing to sit on a ledge with your boyfriend’s arm around you as you watch the lights dance across the sky, so he doesn’t have to beg you quite as much to get going. At least he’ll always bring a nice flask of hot chocolate with you to the ledge.

- Ven loves it when you join him and his friends for training, especially if you’re watching from the sides and cheering him on. Your boyfriend is far from big-headed, but you can tell how hard he tries to impress you (and how much Terra and Aqua do their best to give him convincing wins so his confidence doesn’t get too battered). Once or twice, you’ve sworn you saw him flexing and looking over his shoulder to check your eyes were on him – he’s so adorable, but you’d never let him know that you were anything but swept off your feet.

- Speaking of Terra and Aqua, they were wary of you for all but a day. It was clear that they’ve been incredibly protective of Ven for as long as they’ve known him, and now they’re protective of you as well. Because Ven cares for you so much and you’re such a natural match, it wasn’t hard to gel with the other people he cares about, too. You often joke about being their newest adoptee, which gets your boyfriend frustrated to no end – “they’re not even that much older than me and whatever they say, I only called them ‘grown ups’ once, like, five years ago!”

- One date that sticks out to you is when Ven took you to the mineshafts of Dwarf Woodlands; he’s surprisingly mischievous when he wants to be and seemed to revel in sneaking in there when there wasn’t anyone else around! The gemstones in the mines are absolutely beautiful, and he’d taken it upon himself to read up about all the different kinds he could find prior to your date. Although it’s just a little too lovey-dovey for you to take completely seriously, he’d said that your eyes remind him of all the diamonds when they glitter, but he’d rather look at you - your eyes are far more beautiful and sparkly than anything you could find in there.

- During the infrequent times when Ven isn’t busying himself with training, travelling or reading up on the stars, he loves to play video games with you. Without a doubt, your shared favourite game is Animal Crossing. Your town is far more fleshed-out than his since he’s nearly always visiting yours, but he still never fails to bring over an inventory full of his town’s native fruit and flowers (which he plants outside your house). Apparently, his favourite types of villagers are the hamsters since they’re cute, like you.

i have no words?? do you need those headcanons, nonnie?? DOES THE WORLD NEED THEM?! ashguwyiwhe this is so silly and nowhere near an actual bunch of headcanons but,, yknow what? here you go, sweet anon. here’s how an org BBQ would go down.

- It all started when Axel made a passing comment at a meeting; he complained that they weren’t getting enough vacation time. When Xemnas asked for ideas for “communal work-friendly activities”, Demyx was the one who jokingly came up with the idea for a barbecue, and the Superior, of course, took him seriously. In an effort to harvest more hearts boost morale, Xemnas went along with it. Everyone said okay, begrudgingly (except for numbers eleven and twelve, who were more than happy to sunbathe for a day). Before they knew it, they were writing a shopping list instead of discussing heartless population spikes. Saix looked like he wanted to claw his own eyes out by the end of it all.

- After coming to the conclusion that trying to host a barbecue in The World that Never Was would be absolutely redundant, they decided to travel to a remote island in Port Royale – tropical and recluse. Despite being told to wear “work-appropriate casual attire”, Roxas and Xion had to opt for the black boots, trousers and shirt they wear under their coats since they owned absolutely nothing else. It was a bit of an ordeal. They were sizzling in the heat.

- Everyone wasn’t having the best time until Luxord started passing around flasks of rum he found littered about in the sand. Certain members, of course, weren’t able to benefit from Luxord’s amazing discovery. “What’s that?” “Nothing, Roxas.” “Can I have some?” “NO.”

- The person who had the worst time was undoubtedly Zexion, who refused to put down his façade and sink to playing into the workmate get-together (and eat anything that Axel claimed to have ‘cooked’, power over fire or not). He spent the party hovering around Lexaeus, complaining about needing to go home and start his research. He only becomes privy to the reason why everyone else had lightened up when the older Apprentices start up an impromptu poker game and Xigbar starts slurring his words about Xaldin being a cheater. The Sharpshooter ends up banned from the poker table and decides to entertain Demyx with a game of coconut volleyball (which is about as painful and destructive as it sounds).

- The whole thing ends horribly when the clouds begin to block out the sun and a tropical rainstorm blows in. Axel’s barbecue is drenched beyond repair, Xion ends up falling from Roxas’s shoulders while they’re trying to reach for a big enough leaf to act as an umbrella, Luxord’s rum gets watered down, Larxene and Marluxia get bright red sunburn and Saix steps on a crab. They chalk the day up to a disaster and send the Dusks in to clean up their paper plates. When they get home, Xemnas puts a year-long ban on poker, coconut volleyball and any more damn vacation days.

- One of the very first things you noticed about Larxene was how immaculate and beautiful her nails were; she seemed to switch-up colours and designs on a weekly basis. When the two of you started dating, you found out that she was basically an artist when it came to painting nails and she loves to give her gorgeous girlfriend any kind of manicure you’d like, from full acrylics to a hand massage with her peppermint and lavender creams. She has an entire drawer full of matte and glossy colours, glitters and tools you wouldn’t even begin to know how to use – but now, as she says, “our hands slay!”. You’re not sure if she means that in a complimentary or barbaric sense.

- If you’re going to be with Larxene, you’d better be ready to put up with her temper and learn how to hold her back when she’s about to go too far. Although her greater goals being always in mind and her disregard for what anyone else thinks are just a few of the traits you admire about her, it’s easy for her sharp tongue to get carried away. She barely ever crosses the line with you, but she can be hurtful towards people who don’t deserve it. After dating her for a while, you’ve noticed that you’ve had somewhat of an effect on her – she can hold herself back when it’s necessary, and she gives a moment to think about her next decision before she charges into it. You, too, have changed for the better; Larxene helps you to stand up for yourself even when you don’t think you can.

- Helping her to dial down her anger in serious situations doesn’t mean the two of you still don’t love your sarcasm, or a few ‘harmless’ jokes at other peoples’ expenses. Your girlfriend can have you doubled-over in laughter when you people-watch the dwellers of the various worlds going about their daily business; she has a dark sense of humour when it comes to making up what they’re saying when their lips move and putting on silly voices to match their appearances. She has a real talent for impersonating people, something that you’d doubt she’d ever show anyone else.

- A little into your relationship, Larxene told you that she was going to show you one of her deepest, darkest secrets. Although you were around fifty percent sure she was only trying to shock you, you were still a little cautious when she started leading you around the dark streets of The World that Never Was. To your surprise, Larxene had been looking after an alley cat for as long as she’d been in the Organization (but Saix’s strict and “unbelievably stupid” rule against pets had stopped her from bringing it into her room). She’d named the blonde kitty Bronte and, despite living outside, she looked absolutely spoiled. Larxene had a whole host of toys to play with Bronte and she fed her cans of fish; the whole scenario made you fall in love with your soft-cantered girlfriend even more.

- When the two of you briefly spoke about her life as a Somebody, Larxene had mentioned how much time she spent at the arcade as a kid, mostly because she was so fascinated by the inner workings of machines. She’s quite handy when it comes to fixing up appliances and electricals (go figure, right?), so you decided to introduce her to computer programming. She picked up coding incredibly quickly and loves building PCs, another thing she’d never admit to anyone but you out of fear of being revealed as the true smart nerd she is.

- Around someone as important to him as you, Hayner becomes even pickier towards strangers and prefers you both to stay within your closely-knit circle of best friends. Of course, he wouldn’t stop you from hanging around anyone in town, but that doesn’t mean they won’t receive a very incredulous shake-down before he lets go of his guard. It took you a while to understand exactly why Hayner is so protective over the people he cares most about – especially you – but you figured after a while that it comes from a place that treasures you and never wants to see you hurt.

- Whenever the Struggle tournament rolls into Town, Hayner makes sure to announce to everyone that he’s going to win this year’s trophy for his beautiful girlfriend. Embarrassing? Absolutely; but Hayner doesn’t care, even when he ends up losing to Seifer or one of his gang. You always make sure to give him a playful telling-off as you patch up his bumps and bruises for being so headstrong, but he never takes you too seriously – besides, being patched up by you is his favourite part of the tournament by far.

- Hayner loves taking photos even more since you’ve been together; no matter how many times you blush and push your hand in front of the lens or try to run away quick enough, he says he wants to have as many memories of you as he can. Eventually, you’ve grown used to being mushed in the middle of Olette and Pence after every outing. Hayner makes sure to give you a copy of his snaps, and you’re making your own little collage wall together. Since you’re enjoying this project so much, you’ve made plans to start scrapbooking and pressing flowers together, too!

- Your boyfriend knows Twilight Town like the back of his hand, and every nook, cranny and shortcut that goes with it. The shop vendors in the Tram Common know Hayner as a regular, too, and often give him discounts – he takes such pride in integrating you into his town’s community and making you a big part of it. Your favourite hangout is, of course, the Usual Spot, which Hayner tells you has been his den since he was a little boy, and it’s become your secret hideaway nowadays.

- Just one of the few rare instances of Hayner showing you his softer side is when the two of you take a loaf of bread to the Station Heights and feed crumbs to the doves and pigeons that flock there. He seems to care a lot about birds and you’ve even took to naming the ones with the most unique feathers (something that he’d never, never admit to doing in anyone else’s company). For his birthday, you decided to buy him a small handbook so he could take notes on the birds you’d made friends with, which ended up being filled with doodles, in-depth analyses of which birds prefer which types of foods and… just a few hearts around wherever you’ve written something down.
