Historical Hadrian’s Wall, and the Sycamore Gap by drone.
St Mary’s Lighthouse around sunrise, New Year’s Day 2019.
New Year’s Day 2019 taken around sunrise in Whitley Bay (UK)
Flying around an unusual bridge. A gondola carries people and vehicles across the river.
Tees Transporter Bridge while the sun was out. A nice autumns photography :-)
Filmed in changing light conditions on two separate days. I love the dark clouds and the rainbow as the rain was coming :-)
Enjoying some drone photography at Royal Quays Marina :-)
This was a nice trip out to St Paul's Church and Monastery in Jarrow. I haven't shown in the church as I was greeted by some staff or volunteers who were happy to talk to me so I stopped the filming for a while. It was welcoming to go inside, and peaceful. I'd recommend it.
Filmed using the timewarp feature on the GoPro Hero 7 Black, and flying my Mavic 2 Pro. I think the GoPro with timewarp (hyperlapse) gives a playful feeling to the video - what do you think?
I decided to edit this video so most of the hyperlapse is shown in the first part and the drone views come later. GoPro Hero 7 hyperlapse is quite smooth but it still needs a gimbal to keep the image steady and parallel with the horizon, which I wasn't using at the time on the GoPro.
Scenes today on a stretch of the River Tyne.
Souter Lighthouse and coastal views on a nice day. Some nice views of the cliffs and lighthouse, and the sea is pleasant too.
Dunston Staiths is a structure on the River Tyne, near Gateshead, which was used to load coal onto ships. It was opened in 1893 and at its peak in the 1920s shipped an average of 140,000 tons of coal a week (see website below). It closed in 1980 during the decline of the coal industry in the UK but remains open to visitors, although only at certain times during the week.

I made this video of St Mary’s Lighthouse as the sun was going down, using my Mavic 2 Zoom, it was fun to do.
