Along came an Altmer
No matter how many times Samira had seen an Altmer come her way, she still was not used to the sheer size they reached, and this one shocked her still. Craning her neck up till it hurt, she flashed him a quick smile and asked, “How’s the weather up there?”
"Your sharp wit is truly unsurpassed by those of this province," the lofty Altmer retorted dryly, nonchalantly looking over his crossbow’s intricate mechanisms and not particularly caring to make eye contact. "Might you harbour any other pearls of wisdom? I am quite certain that I simply must hear more from you."
"Perhaps, given more time I can come up with something a bit more wittier."
Along came a masked man.
"Do you… live out here… alone?" he asked, tilting his head slightly. But at her proposed issue, he stayed quiet as he pondered the dilemma.
"Could put… markings… paint or… scratches on trees… near the traps," he said, nodding his head. "Something… not too notice…able, but that you… would recog…nize."
"I do live here alone, I rather like it that way," She shrugged, "After spending my life with so many siblings, the peace and quiet that comes with being a recluse is something of a blessing, if I must admit, Harro."
She scratched at the back of her head, "Paint is somewhat expensive, perhaps I could part with a few scraps of wool as markers," she muttered.
Along comes an Imperial.
She smiled sheepishly, nodding her head. “That, and I rather like my home where it is now,” she said, motioning to the small farm behind her. “And if they were winning or had won the civil war, I would not know where else to go, other than back home to Blacklight.”
"I’m sure you’d think of something." Shey wasn’t too concerned; besides not knowing the farmer, she doubted the Nords would be able to hold Skyrim for long if they did take it. "But if they want to kick you off your land, you should build pitfalls. With spikes. Give ‘em a nice surprise."
"A straight and to the point message to them?"
So it is safe to assume I stand out, good ser?
[ shrugs ] I suppose. Depends entirely if you think that’s a good thing.
I'd like to think it makes me look rather dashing.
So it is safe to assume I stand out, good ser?
Perhaps I should invest in an eye-patch.

hi you guys are great

I suppose that is a good thing?
Yes, yes, I should think so! It’s just that times are strange. Religious imagery has become political. Then again, it always was.
It feels as though it is more-so with all this talk of Divines and Talos and the like.
✸ Head Canon: Healthy coating of earth
Samira does not wash her hair or herself very often. She smells of earth, sweat, and various types of herbs and occasionally like a campfire.
Along came a human (?).
Falkreath hold, it appeared, was a hive for those who wished only to be disturbed by the adventurous, or the lost. Ardost had made a point of passing by a great many of these hidden demesnes, but this one had drawn him forth by virtue of the alchemically valuable growths lining the path. It was overgrown, but trodden down enough that he navigated it with no difficulty but a great deal of care. His crook snagged not once, but twice on a root jutting from the turf, but thus far he had managed well enough.
Then he noted the womer - Dunmeri, from what he could tell, smiling in spite of her one cloudy eye. Ardost was well-accustomed to false smiles, and did not waste one, himself. "Do I trespass, pray?"
With him in full sight, she twisted herself to better gaze at his appearance. He looked old, very old. Hunched over like he was, she wondered if he was injured in some way. "Not exactly, good ser," she said with a shrug, "I am quite used to wanderers coming my way."
'though none that look so much like you,' She thought, still weary of this man. Something didn't set right with her in the way he looked. It might have been the scars that crossed his face or how very pale his skin was, but he didn't seem right. "What brings you to my humble home, good ser?" She asked her tone still pleasant enough.
✧
"You have very captivating green eyes, ma’am."
Send me a ✧ and my muse will tell yours the first thing they notice when they look at them
Along comes an Imperial.
She ran her hand through her hair again, letting out a ragged breath. Not quite the answer she was looking for, but it was an answer all in the same. “Thank you, ma’am. I was beginning to worry I might have to pack up and leave Skyrim from the way the people were talking.”
"Oh?" Shey was curious, but it wasn’t a stretch to imagine what the Dunmer was speaking of. "Because of Nords and their rampant xenophobia?"
She smiled sheepishly, nodding her head. "That, and I rather like my home where it is now," she said, motioning to the small farm behind her. "And if they were winning or had won the civil war, I would not know where else to go, other than back home to Blacklight."
Along came a masked man.
"Could… set traps," he suggested, glancing back at her. "For the… bandits, I mean." It was only when she pointed it out that Harro realized he hadn’t yet introduced himself. It went unseen beneath his mask, but he flushed in embarrassment. How rude of him.
"My apolog…ies," he said and shook her hand, bowing his head slightly. "I am… Harro. Pleasure… to meet you… Samira."
Very polite indeed, she decided, giving his hand a firm shake before returning it to her lap. "The pleasure is all mine, Harro. It is always a pleasure whenever someone comes and talks with him." she gave a toothy smile, showing off her chipped and missing teeth as she did so.
"Traps would be lovely, yes, but say I was to forget where I left them and happened across them myself on accident?"
Along came a Bosmer (?)
"You’re rather rotund for an Altmer."
"You’re rather, uhh…" Thavrin couldn’t come up with a good comeback, so he huffed and crossed his arms, a task which proved slightly difficult for him. "So what?!"
She held up her hands in mock-surrender, "I am just stating what I'm seeing, good ser."
