Sometimes I feel like my skin *just* gets clear and smooth, and then BAM, more acne. ;A; I drink water, wash my pillowcase, and have a pretty reasonable skincare routine, but alas!

gentle reminder
itās okay if you are having a happy good day and then suddenly feel sad; emotions come and go - please just try your best to make sure you donāt bottle them up, you arenāt hard on yourself, you take care of yourself, and remember that things will get better
āNow isnāt the time to wish I had done more before, Itās time for me to double up and do more now.ā
ā Affirmation of the day. (via riffatmatinpoetry)
This is Han River (ķź°). My older sister and I came here during our Korean trip, and I especially remember this day because of a few unfortunate things that happened that day.
We wanted to visit Han River because it is a place that shows up in a lot of Korean movies and dramas. Many people come to Han River to exercise, hang out with friends and family, and most importantly relieve stress. My sister also heard that people usually sit by the river and eat chicken and beer (āchi-maekā ģ¹ė§„), so she wanted to try that.
During our trip, we discovered a Korean fried chicken chain called Kyochon and it became an instant favorite for us. Though for my sister, she wanted to have Kyochon and only Kyochon when we went to Han River. So she made me pull up directions to Han River and wanted me to order Kyochon when we got there. This is when problems began to arise.
I had pulled up directions to the wrong side of Han River. There was a small park and some exercising machines, but nobody was there. There also werenāt any restaurants around and I couldnāt find Kyochon. So we scoured the area to look for Kyochon since the map showed that there was one nearby⦠only to find out that it had been replaced by another chicken restaurant called BBQ Chicken. Frustrated, my sister told me to ask locals for help with directions, but with a lack of confidence in my Korean⦠I didnāt do it.
So she ditched me and walked away.
I went back to Han River and this picture was the sight I saw. I remember at that point, I just wanted to go home. I was stranded in a foreign country and my sister was angry with me because I didnāt know how to ask for directions. The point of going on this trip was to experience a new culture, take a break, bond with my sister⦠but that was the last thing on her mind. I couldnāt help but feel sorry that I got us lost, and she was really disappointed about not getting her chicken.
It must have been half an hour before my sister finally messaged me to go to the nearest station, but somehow she found a way to get to the other side of the river and I asked my friend to help me order Kyochon chicken for her. The great thing about Korea is that restaurants are willing to deliver wherever you may be, so we were able to pick up the chicken in front of the subway station. Once we got our food, we found a spot on the steps in front of the river and settled there. The other side of Han River was vastly different from the side we were on. It was livelier - people crowded the river and restaurants lined the streets. Once we reached this side of Han River, everything that happened before was forgotten. We just wanted to have a good time and enjoy the atmosphere. So in the end, she got what she wanted and I got a story to tell when I came home - that I got lost, my sister left me, and somehow in the end we found our way again and had some really good Korean fried chicken.
After our trip, I decided that I would continue to study Korean so that if I ever went back I would be able to communicate with the locals and hopefully not get lost again.

Hi! I wanted to ask if you know anything abt joon's opinion on feminism. I've been a bts stan for a while now and I was kinda wondering. It's hard to tell with how idols on the kpop scene aren't really supposed to express opinions....
namjoon has expressed it many times through music, the media he consumes and the clothing he wears.Ā
namjoon very much a feminist who believes everyone, female, male, trans, bi, gay, rich, poor, black, white, blue, religion, everyone deserves respect, equality, love, and all the same opportunitiesĀ
actively wears skirts and runway fashion that is actually made for women
take a look at the book on his night stand
one of the few times he has tweeted about same sex love/LGBT issues
Namjoon was the one who came up with the topics they spoke about in the song change for the collaboration with Wale. he said he keeps up with american media and thinks itās important to know what is going on around the world. he wanted to use his large platform to speak about the important issues of black lives matter, and the government and things needing to change because things are not okay. he said because of the situations going on in the us and in korea in was important to talk about it
21st century girl, need I say more?
actively giving a voice to those who canāt through his music and fancafe posts
releasing the songĀ āI knowā the day after korea passed its law to ban same sex marriageĀ
watching movies like blue is the warmest colourĀ
and many many many more, he doesnāt hide it, he openly speaks about it regularly. people just have to listen to him

I just started watching The Secret Life of an American Teenager, and I have so many thoughts about the first season:
I canāt stand any of the characters in this show, especially Amyās two best friends and Benās best friends.
The poor guy has to deal with his know-it-all, sassy girlfriendā¦
Basically, donāt trust your best friends with your secrets. Theyāll blab about it to their other friends and it will spread around school. I feel bad for Amy because of her family situation, but at the same time she told the wrong people. Theyāre not very supportive because itās not their decision to make. I get that, but Lauren says that the two of them have no business with Amyās baby⦠so why are they telling people, especially their parents about Amy?
They exaggerate about Christians way too much. Iāve never encountered anyone like Grace before. Must be rare.
I guess news channels like to replay surveillance camera recordings to make fun of them. Instead, the girl is targeted for being religious, and the bad guys get away. I mean⦠the shirtless dude just wanted to scare away the bad guys, but they just focused on how he was shirtless lol what
Ashley is my favorite. Sheās blunt and sarcastic, but at the same time she is sensitive and protective of her loved ones. She seems to be one step ahead of everyone, and sheās only 13 in the first season?
I like Ben, heās awkward like meā but he only dated Amy for a few weeks and he already said āI love youā after one date and proposed to herā¦
Everyone trusts Ricky, even though they know heās not a good person⦠Grace is so naiveā¦
I get where Adrian is coming from, but sheās basically a girl-version of Ricky. Adrian thinks that sheās better than everyone else, and thinks that by sleeping around she will be loved. Ricky comes from a broken home and sleeps around too.
Amyās dad is messed up. I wonder what happened with his first wifeā maybe he had an affair with Amyās mom and now heās having an affair with Adrianās mom. This shows that old habits never die.
Jackās hair annoys me. Actually, heās just an annoying character.
Finding Finch
When you mention that Cole Sprouse is on your list of possible Finch actors, and he responds, and you respond, and then M Magazine writes an article about it. <3
I think I'm in love with love.
Iām a little confused. So thereās this Tumblr famous guy named Mark Cefalo, and I THINK that we might have gone to the same school. My friend is pretty sure that itās him since they have the same face and name. Iām 90% sure that itās him, but I donāt want to jump to conclusions since this Mark apparently lives in New Hampshire and the one Iām thinking of lived in Mass. Unless he moved...
Let me tell you, even in pre-k and kindergarten he was getting all the girls (excluding me lol) but I think itās pretty cool how someone I possibly went to school with is now internet famous :O
