Take only what you need.
I swear that getting near a Pinterest account makes me want to eat, decorate and buy plane tickets to extravagant places all in one sitting.
My take on indulgence is a lot like others I've heard: take only what you need.
My exception to the 'rule': it's okay to need indulgence.
Indulgence is more than likely a decision made in haste, in the moment.* That entire batch of cookie dough that doesn't get baked because your fingers do the work before the oven preheats. The third pair of nude pumps that look strikingly like the first two. Talking about yourself more than you listen to those around you. Is indulgence bad? Is it good? It depends on when you ask the question, no? Indulgence isn't bad, and it isn't good. It happens.
“Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.” - Mick Jagger
“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed.” -Mahatma Ghandi
There's a fine line between over-assessing your indulgences and ignoring them. Remind yourself to never stop searching for and maintaining that equilibrium.
