Emma getting her eggs harvested while she was in a coma- so without her consent- is such a big deal to me. There's so much to explore in that vein because like, that's such an invasive protocol, and I don't know if the writers have fully explored how she feels about it.
Do you not think that she's become paranoid over her body? About who has touched her body while she was in her coma without her knowing? She's used to people touching her, sure, but that's mostly always because she wills it, for one reason or another.
But she was helpless to defend herself while in the coma, and she has no way of truly knowing if anything else was done to her/ taken from her.
So I imagine her putting on a façade every single day of her life, because obviously she has to, she's a Frost, but also being unable to fall asleep at night, feeling the phantom touch of hands crawling all over her body, hands of people she can't even put faces to, because she wasn't there to see them.
And I imagine she'd have issues with being sedated as well, from then on. If the first time she was unconscious for a prolonged period of time meant she got her eggs harvested (and who knows what else), what else could happen the next time she's unconscious?
So when she does inevitably go unconscious in a particularly bad fight, just imagine how rough it'll be the next few days. If it's a brief momentary lapse in consciousness, she'll know, rationally, that nothing probably happened, but there will still be a part of her that worries. She'll check her body and her mind for weeks on end, until she's too exhausted to continue doing so.
Give me an Emma Frost who panics at just the thought of having to be sedated and unconscious. Give me an Emma who's heart rate triples when she's unable to move her body. Give me an Emma who's terrified when she encounters people with power-dampening gear, because if worst comes to worst, she will have no way of defending herself.
So yeah, coma trauma Emma Frost means a lot to me.
