This was my first video submission for the final video project.

Final Project

I submitted by final video project for critique and felt happy with it. The idea behind the video was looking into archiving the word home, a word that means so much to pretty much everyone to see what I could find. Initially I was expecting to find continuos images of houses and buildings but found that home is much more than that, it is the people in your lives, the food that reminds you of home, your animals, your local places and everything that people think of when hearing the word “home”

Continued to play around with quicktime player and using a flash game showing the process of creation, from the beginning to the end.

Took someones gif from the first gif project and utilised click drag click to change the gif and the idea behind it by adding distance between the two figures.

I wanted to explore the idea of home through video, So I captured my screen and recorded myself going through google maps and looking at places that symbolise “home” to me. attached is the video I created.

Living in such a digital age can be scary and our ideas and perspectives in life can change due to these changes in technology. For my video assignment I wish to look into the idea of “Home” and how this can change across cultures, countries and ages.

Video Project.

Although I find it an interesting avenue, to me glitch art does not interest me. I have looked at many examples and they can be eye catching and visually appealing however I want to take a different approach with my final ideas.
