I think the Book of Job minisode is everything that Good Omens should be.
- Religious satire/commentary (the absurdity regarding the bet with Job, the archangels being generally clueless, the deconstruction of how to-the-letter you need to be with following the laws of religion)
- Genuinely funny (Ty Tennant having like 3 minutes of screen time and out-fruiting his dad, Jemima and her pot and wanting to be turned into a salamander, Bildad the Shuhite and all that that entails)
- an emotional, character-driven core (Aziraphale learning the limits of his own morality, the discussion of the role good and evil play in events and how each is perceived when done by different parties, learning just how similar Aziraphale and Crowley are as it pertains to personal desires (which we as the viewer know, but chronologically it’s one of the first times they connect like they do)
And of course
- the undertones (Crowley tempting Aziraphale into eating which, with the way Aziraphale devours that meat, has zero chance of not being a metaphor for some kind of physical relationship; the nature of being just a little bit different than your peers, and how that affects your views of yourself; and the purely humanistic, just-this-once-everybody-lives kind of narrative that emphasizes the importance and power of familial and interpersonal relationships)
I feel like someone might have done this one, but if they did I couldn’t find it

Rocky and Grace are yelling at each other. Rocky stops mid argument to demand that Grace put on his angry eyebrows. Grace immediately stomps to the whiteboard, stomps back over with the dry erase marker, draws angry eyebrows on the xenonite ball. the argument continues

Sorry, my what? My pronouns? Oh, yeah I'm between genders at the moment. No, it's cool, I quit my last gender a little while ago because it really wasn't working out. I don't know if I even have a dream gender anymore.
Oh yeah, it did come with benefits, but they weren't really worth it. The culture was really toxic. To be honest I think I'd prefer a part-time gender so I can just be self-described in my spare time.
I mean, in a perfect world we wouldn't need gender, you know? We could just voluntarily be perceived as much as we're able, as much as makes us feel fulfilled. Having a full-time gender shouldn't be a prerequisite for food, shelter, and healthcare.

people will say “they’re only friends” and then show me two people who would crawl through broken glass to hear the other laugh once. two people who have memorized each other’s coffee orders, fears, childhood stories, and emergency contacts. two people who would haunt each other’s houses as ghosts. be serious.
Just an FYI—the original intention of this post was to challenge the way people say only friends, as though friendship is somehow lesser than other forms of love. As if being deeply known, cherished, and chosen by another person could ever be a small thing. Normalize profound platonic love. Some of the most fulfilling, transformative, and enduring relationships we will ever have are friendships. 🫶🏼
if Candice has a picture phone why did she never just take a photo of what phineas and ferb were doing and text it to her mom
if she did this doofenshmirtz would just be like you see perry the platypus i sold my old computer at the pawn shop but i forgot to delete all those embarrassing photos from the christmas party, which is why i’ve invented the pixel-replacinator! and then as candace is going to text her mom the photo the phone gets hit with the beam and she looks down and she’s just texted her mom a photo of doofenshmirtz in a sexy elf costume or smth. candace can never fucking win the universe bends to facilitate her psychological torment

Gale’s camp tunic is DONE!! Just under 200 (196) hours of hand embroidery on this piece and I’m so proud of how it turned out.
All that’s left is to finish the detail stitching on the trousers, so I can say with fair confidence that I’ll be bringing this along to Katsucon in Feb 👍 After over a year of working on this cosplay, the end is truly in sight!
Magnetic Ineffable Dress Up Dolls!
FINALLY, after more than 5 years of dreaming about it, I have made the thing I always wanted! After much hard work, a serendipitous gift, and much swearing at an inanimate machine, Astral Gravy and I are pleased to announce the creation of our Magnetic Ineffable Dress Up Dolls!
The initial set comes with 7 ineffable outfits and lots of cute accessories, as pictured, with plans for expansions in future. If you have ever wanted to dress Aziraphale and Crowley up on your fridge or liven up those metal bins in your cubicle at work, now you can!
Right now I am currently producing sets for TIC7, but because they are fairly time and material intensive supplies will be limited. The pricing will be £25 per character or £45 for both, and they will come packaged with a fun backing card. They’ll be first come first served at my booth, but if you don’t get your chance I’m also donating a full set of both to the online auction AND the in person raffle.
Now, for those of you who want one but won’t be able to for this first round, fear not. My plan is to produce many more in small batches and make those available for sale in the future. I will announce those batches in advance so hopefully everyone who wants one can get the chance to snag one. 😊
The Veiled Lodger
More of a confession by a third party than a proper story from the pen of Dr Watson, this recollection of a mysterious lodger with a devouring secret is the shortest of all canonical tales. Imbued with melancholy and a philosophical cynicism that characterises the late adventures, it deals with harrowing themes: domestic violence, animal abuse, cowardly betrayal, facial disfigurement, and suicidal ideation.
As the penultimate entry in the saga, it gives us a last glimpse at the two friends in the late 1920s. In the final adventure, the mood is slightly lighter and Watson does not supply any exposition. But here, even as he has seemingly drifted away from Holmes, he is still dutifully acting as his biographer, writing back to old clients and readers, reviewing and selecting stories for publication.
