Since I've had this drawing in drafts for months and I don't expect to finish it any time soon I'm going to leave my Sunny medieval AU here in written form so I don't forget: Frank as king, Dennis as crown prince, Dee as princess, Mac as Dennis' royal guard and Charlie as king's buffoon. Mac's parents traded him to the king in exchange for a lighter sentence for Luther (jail time instead of death penalty) so he could be the young prince's companion, and he grew up to be his personal guard. Also the king took a liking to Charlie via Mac and made him his royal buffoon so I can have them all under the same roof--Artemis can be Dee's companion and the waitress a maiden at the castle.

Asking the Sunny fandom for help! :) 

I’m planning to write a sort of retelling of Susan Hinton’s The Outsiders, which takes place around 1965 in Tulsa, Oklahoma (the fic would be set in 1965 Philadelphia, of course). I have the plot sufficiently planned out (it’s not a direct translation of characters but rather a looser following of the plot that will imply/include macdennis and chardee), but I am neither from the US nor a native English speaker, and so, although I’ll do my own research, I’d love it if someone could help me get the historical and sociocultural context AND the slang from the time right (and, of course, any conversation about plot/characterisation is welcome!).

HERE is my writing if anyone wants to check beforehand, although I only have one Sunny (macdennis) fic yet!
