Hi please call me Nemo, Demo or Jester. I'm aroace genderfluid and go by they/he/she but i don't have a preference, if you are unsure of how to refer to me just go with the one you feel less attracted to (if you feel the same about all of them then you have outsmarted my little plan u_u).
I draw and english is not my main language. i value a lot people's creativity, but it's difficult for me to interact. I make myself talk in here so that's why I don't often appear or share stuff.

If u find the colors familiar is bc i did this with with these other drawings i did some time ago in mind (that was also inspired in another set of drawings that are linked on the other post lol) the turquoise + saturated pink/red combo goes hard
While drawing these I would keep thinking about these quotes from the game Slay the Princess too orz it probably added to the inspiration too
I had in mind that Ren's heart is shaped nicely for presentation but can turn gooey and its bleeding discreetly gets into places it shouldn't. The bleeding shouldn't be perceptible to Eli but it spills at direct contact with them.
The characters' own perception of their feelings for each other also have to do with how their hearts are shaped. The way they bleed is related to their self perception on their own actions.
Eli's heart might be shaped differently but it's still a heart. It has the same colors as Ren but with a darker color surrounding it like a shield; making a layer that separates the bleeding exterior and the surroundings, as to not spill, but it does anyway (and a lot). Even if the heart is out of reach, the bleeding is able to connect Ren and Eli's silhouette just like when Ren is trying to give his heart.
