The bulk of this blog is related to my love of the Magnus Archives and on condensing my theories regarding the Magnus Protocol

My main project right now is my Cursed Tome. Within it is all of my work regarding the DPHW system, how it relates to alchemy (Sulfur, Mercury, Salt) and traditional elemental systems (Earth, Fire, Air, Water., wood, leather, plants etc.)

Theory I’ve had bouncing around in my head. TMAGP is directly a critique of fascism.

Where confidently I can say that TMA itself is a critique of factory farming, capitalist exploitation, war/global violence, and imperialism more broadly.

I believe that TMAGP is not only directly a critique of fascism. But is created as a love letter to fascist critiques in stage and media.

The direct reference to “The Pillowman” really drove this for me, and Alice’s sardonic quality is Sally Bowels all the way down.

So I do not know much about Shakespeare, but with the importance of names in tmagp, I gotta point out that Frederick and Celia are both names from As You Like It.

Frederick is the king, who abdicated the throne after his violence was made clear to him by a monk/priest figure. Celia is his daughter, loyal to her cousin, Rosalind, and not the crown.

Perhaps this implies that FR3-D1 is the unjust ruler, who may be brought to the light.

This is the same play referenced in TMA’s mag 108 (Monologue) read by Martin Blackwood. “All the world’s a stage…” The episode is pretty strongly alined with the lonely with the debut of Peter Lukas as “onscreen” for the first time. I wonder if the fact that Martins name is only mentioned once in tmagp connects here.

Maybe something that aligns with Jon’s greatest fear of “becoming another mystery” and Martins being forgotten, unloved, and alone.

Their worst fears being confirmed.

I have this weird lil inkling that Alice not only knows about Jon and Martin (and Jonah) but has something of a child-of-the-house-who’s-friends-with-all-the-ghosts kinda relationship. I think the boys saw this orphaned tgirl and were like, well damn, we gotta be a gay paternal ghost dads now.

We love the way Martin Blackwood is written. Because he's a fat and he's gay. Two things that are incredibly easy targets for bullying. And through out all of the mistreatment Martin endures, it's never about that. Sure, he gets a few stabs about his feelings for Jon, but that's because he loves someone who mistreats him, not because he loves a man
