Good day, Mr Smirk. I come to you with a rather unique question.

Couldn't not notice that on your Avatar fuckability score you put some rarely mentioned Avatars and even something that aren't Avatars in traditional sense. So, my question is, on which tier, if you got a chance, you would put the Lichtenberg Figure and why?

Very interesting! I'll admit I was thinking of the Lichtenberg Figure as more of a Manifestation of the Vast and not an Avatar, because it was never human to begin with - especially as it's so clearly tied to Ex Altiora and later to Michael Crewe specifically.

Its placement on the List would be solidly A Tier. In the words of a certain pop star, "it'll leave you breathless, but with a nasty scar."

No I swear there's overlap between the Vast and the Distortion because spirals can also get Vast on a large enough scale and when I look at fractals for a while my brain gets wiggly and they start to feel distorted in my head Idk maybe that's just me

But there's also overlap with the Distortion and the Beholding. Because eyes/being watched is a motif/theme/thing I noticed among people I've talked to about hallucinations and breaks from reality.

Also I found a place where the Vast and the Buried overlap.

There's so many interesting blurred lines between the fears and Smirke's list isn't nearly as efficient of a taxonomy as it should be so I'm going to write my damn self.

But because I'm a freak I'm writing it through the lens of Gerry Keay, bc I know in my heart that he's a petty bitch that would do that out of spite.

what'd'ya think the fear that nothing will change, that its always going to be like this, fear of permanent stagnation, is?

And don't say desolation, I mean this to be specifically not the fear of permanent suffering. This fear comes about even when (and especially) when everything's perfect and happy and clean and smooth. No matter how good life is, theres still the fear of sameness or boredom forever.

Hesitantly, the Lonely. The feeling of stagnation can often be caused by loneliness in conjuction with boredom. In my experience, battling boredom and the associated malaise is best done with friends. Surround yourself with your favourite people and there will be a way out of routine.

Why don't you believe in the Extinction? Everybody knows the categories aren't rigid. There's overlap. The lines are blurry. Why couldn't a new power emerge?
