Freaking gorgeous; the texture sharpening was also very nice, but ultimately the ENB was just way too dark, the film grain took away from the experience, and once again the DoF was too much for me.

Project ENB - realism preset

Nice adjustment to the game's colors, but the DoF was just way too much and I didn't feel the ENB offered very much that I couldn't get from Dynavision + Imaginator.

So a while ago, I stopped playing Skyrim because I realized I was burning myself out on it and because I wasn't happy with the FPS and it wasn't as great as I wanted it to be, and changing mods to something else generally meant losing some more frames.

A couple days ago I got two MSI 970s in the mail and built myself a glorious desktop.

I decided a while ago I want to reinstall ENB so that I can use parallax textures and get the effect from them, but I cannot for the life of me decide if I want to try an ENB preset or not, and whether or not I want to go ahead and install a crazy awesome one and just disable it when I don't take screenshots or install one that's minimal and use it all the time.

(but first, I need to buy a proper cooling pad so I can play Skyrim without worrying about overheating my laptop~)

I've seen an image post going around along the lines of "Skyrim: mod it until it crashed" and I just--

If you're modding Skyrim and you "mod it until it crashes" you are doing any number and combination of the following:

doing something wrong

doing something wrong over and over

you are using mods that are not safe to use in your game

you have mod conflicts and don't know it / don't fix it / don't know how to fix it

your load order needs to be adjusted

you basically have no idea what you're doing

Skyrim does not crash because you mod it; Skyrim crashes because you mess it up in one form or another. The crashes that do occur anymore that have nothing to do with mods are extremely few now, and one major culprit was the RAM issue, which there are multiple fixes for.

Remember to read the entire description page and read me of any mods you use. Remember to use the unofficial patches. Remember to use LOOT. Remember to use SSME or SKSE 1.7 or better (when it is out of alpha stage).
