So my elementary school had a lot of dumb rules and one was that you couldn’t share food…and they didn’t mean like don’t take a bite a pass it…they meant no you can’t offer your friend a ritz from your lunchables or trade your untouched chocolate milk for a white milk cuz you got in the wrong line.
So one day a friend of mine had these cool fruit cabob things I thought were really cool I was like 6 I didn’t know how they were possible anyway I was eating one she gave me since she had two and a lunch monitor lady person came up and asked me how my mom kept the Apple slices from turning brown while they sat in my lunch box.
So obviously I started panicking like Idk what do I say I can’t say my friend gave it to me or we’d both be in trouble so I just kinda shrugged and thank the Lord for my homie cuz she had me that day and she came up with
“my mom puts them in lemon juice” and she nodded and this teacher wouldn’t leave with that answer she wanted to know what my mom did to keep them fresh and I was like
“we have the same mom” and she just like cringed and walked away and usually by now I would look back and realize something morbid about a child hood memory that I didn’t understand at the time but she was just a b****
