Castiel One Week Writers Challenge-April 12- “I would assume those would be one of the times you would want me to lie?”
Characters: Castiel, Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester, Laele (OC)
You had spent the past month holed up in the bunker, perfecting your skills at being human. To your surprise, your relationship with Sam had continued and flourished. Your brother Castiel seemed to tolerate the idea of you two being together. You did your best not to throw it in his face, and things were good.
Cas visited you at the bunker whenever he could. Since your trail had grown cold, the angels had stopped chasing him and he was able to come see you more frequently.
You were helping Sam with research in the library when Cas popped in.
“Cassie! I’m glad your here. I was thinking about you. I have been wanting to talk to the three of you together for awhile. I’ve come to a realization. Come sit down.”
Dean walked into the room and you asked him to sit down also. “What’s up sweetheart?”
“I’ve decided that I want to stay here with you and Sam and be a hunter.”
“Absolutely not!” Sam and Cas said in unison.
“What? Why not?” You said angrily.
“It’s too dangerous!” You could get hurt,” Cas said.
“Cas is right. I can’t fight effectively if I have to worry about protecting you.” Sam said, concern in his eyes.
“Protect me? I am a 2000-year old former angel. I don’t need you or Cas to protect me. I am more than capable of protecting myself.” You said angrily.
“Personally, I think it’s a great idea.” Dean said nonchalantly. “She’s trained as a warrior, and she knows angel stuff. And Sam your so much more pleasant when your getting laid on a regular basis.” He grinned at Sam’s bitchface. “ Just sayin’.”
“Could we please not talk about how your brother is sleeping with my sister?” Cas growled angrily.
“Being a hunter isn’t just about the fighting, Laele.” Sam pointed out. “There’s other skills that are required.”
“Well for one thing, you need to be good at acting. Dean and I have been FBI agents, policemen, doctors, you name it. We’ve had a million fake names. And we keep it all straight.”
Cas shakes his head in agreement. “That’s true. I have become quite adept at lying since meeting Sam and Dean.”
Dean starts laughing to himself. “The first time I had Cas with me pretending to be an FBI agent he was HORRIBLE! First he shows the cop in charge his FBI badge upside down, then he starts babbling about angels and the staff of Moses. It was a mess!”
“I would assume now those would be one of the times you would want me to lie.” Cas says somewhat defensively.
“You have gotten much better.” Dean admitted.
“I am quite capable of lying. I’ve been practicing.” You said proudly.
You turn to Sam and lay a hand on his arm. looking him straight in the eye. “Sam, I’ve been thinking. If I do this, we probably shouldn’t sleep together anymore. I don’t want things to get confusing.”
No one says anything for a moment. Cas and Dean look very uncomfortable.
Sam says, “Wait! What???” He looks upset.
You pause for a moment, then you jump out of your chair and throw yourself in Sam’s lap. He catches you reflexively. Grabbing hold of his shaggy brown hair, you pull his head back and kiss him passionately.
Sam pulls back, utterly confused.
“I was lying. All three of you believed me. I just made that up while we were sitting here.”
Dean looks at you in awe. “She’s a natural.”
Sam realizes at that moment he’s lost the argument. He sighs, still cradling you in his lap. “Fine. But don’t ever do that again. You almost gave me a heart attack.”
“I enjoy sex with you too much to give it up.” You kiss him again.
“I’m sure your brother LOVES hearing you say that.” Dean said with a grin.
“You were much easier to handle when you had your Grace, Laele. Now every time I come here, you are attached to Sam in some way. I find it makes me angry and I want to punch him.” Cas said with clenched teeth,
“If you don’t like it brother, Heaven is that way.” You say, pointing up.
