I feel like the monkey paw curled...
Like, I wanted so bad a return to Ikoria, to explore a plane with little to no human presence, and delve into the philosophy of nature and transformation...
Instead, we get Pacific Rim.
And don't get me wrong, Pacific Rim is freaking amazing, but it's also like, the most basic approach you can take to Giant Monsters.
And I don't really trust current WotC to actually explore what happens if Ikoria invades Kamigawa (Like the mixed metaphysics of both planes transforming Kamigawa into a Dali painting, or the refugee crisis of people trying to leave Ikoria and settle in Kamigawa...) and instead they'll likely just stay on the shallow "COOL MONSTER FIGHTS!" part of it.
Which is really fucking cool, don't get me wrong, I can't help but be excited...
But yeah...
Honestly, the whole thing would be worth it for me if we get at least 1 Kamigawan achieving Eludha.
Which might also be how we eventually get our own, in-universe, Pokรฉmon spoof.
