Making exercises more accessible to the disabled? Fuck yeah!
one of my favourite human songs-and-dances is when someone notices someone else is lying and, for no particular reason besides love of the game, helps them get away with the lie without ever explicitly acknowledging they noticed. nightmare social animals.
this also creates quite possibly one of the worst feelings in the world that I hope all other social animals are entirely unfamiliar with, realising you helped someone do something that you actually don't agree with at all, and now you're being asked about it and can't explain yourself because "mischief is funny" doesn't work here
to be honest, i only personally care about plotholes when they appear in writing i already have a bunch of other problems with. if i like something enough, i'll give it a pass/invent an explanation in my head. i can't find the exact quote, but roger ebert said something about this. to paraphrase: "the movie's problem wasn't [such and such inconsistency], its problem was that i was bored enough to be thinking about that."
We Burned So Bright by TJ Klune is a sci-fi novel about an elderly couple on an end-of-the-world road trip.
WHAT’S IT ABOUT Husbands Don and Rodney have lived a good long life. Together they’ve experienced the highest highs of love and family, and lows so low that they felt like the end of the world.
Now, the world is ending for real. A rogue black hole is coming for Earth, and in a month everything and everyone they’ve ever known will be gone. Don and Rodney race against the clock to make it from Maine to Washington State to take care of some unfinished business before it’s all over.
On the road they meet those who refuse to believe death is coming and those who rush to meet it. But there are also people living their final days as best they know how—impromptu weddings, bright burning bonfires, shared meals, and new friends.
Guy Moon, the man behind the iconic tracks of many shows and the unique music style that was Danny Phantom.
He will be very sadly missed.
I didn't notice this but now it lives in my mind rent free.
can’t even joke about wishing my fics could write themselves without people mistaking it for ai usage anymore. what a lost whimsy
Iron Lung is great bc it asks the question what if the sacrificial lamb was evil. What if the lamb thought itself evil. What if everyone else thought the lamb evil. What if the lamb wasn't evil what if the lamb is just a lamb, bleeting desperately to escape its undue sacrifice. What if the lamb knew it was a sacrifice from the start. What if the lamb just wanted to live. What if the lamb wanted to live so fucking bad. What if the lamb wanted the flock to live more. What if the lamb accepts its own sacrifice, leans into the glinting knife, in the hopes that the flock survives.

Every year, on April 24th, from early in the morning until late into the night, Armenians make the pilgrimage to the Tsitsernakaberd memorial in Yerevan, honoring the victims of the 1915 Armenian genocide by Ottoman Turkey.
