I heard that racoons can get urinary tract infections from cat food and I've also heard that about dogs so I finally googled why that happens. Cat food has too much protein and minerals for them and that's what causes them to get the UTIs.

I also learned that cats that have UTIs pee in the tub so they can cool there area from the burning sensation.

And from personal experience the UTI tests from Walgreens work. Presumably, they might work for a pet bc they go off of the amount of blood in the urine. Honestly, I'd be more likely to go the other route and use the pet ones with people bc 50 for $18 is a better deal. You really need to follow up with your Dr/Vet if it's positive either way.
