Ghouls & Guys, it’s that seductively spooky time of the year again!

Y'all, learning Danish is HARD. There's no way around it. BUT, it does help to have my own personal, live-in Danish tutor who also doubles as my boyfriend (though I'm not sure which is the more difficult position).

Well, it has really been A WEEK for me.

I started 3 personal challenges and honey, they sure as shit were CHALLENGING.

Though I like to pretend my life is rosy and cozy (wait do I?...nevermind) it takes some really hard work to keep a positive and level-head during all the random situations life throws at you.

I have recovered from the random end-of-summer cold, and am back with the Part II of my last vlog episode, chatting all about my favorite and not so favorite things about this beautifully complex country I now call home.

And I always have a hard time answering that question. I mean, it’s a big question, and it warrants a big answer. But once I thought hard and found that 78% of the things I missed fell under the “Food” category, it became a much more succinct response :)

Okay, who actually enjoys writing? Be honest.

I can say that on occasion I liiiiike writing, but now that I’m required to write more for work and school, I’ve found the “fun factor” isn’t at the level it used to be.

Sorry 4 The Wait with this full episode. Last week I was smack dab in the middle of my last week on vacation, so my time was spent on sippin’ libations rather than recording and editing.

Oscar and I have made it through our first week in California, and I want to tell you all about it (if you haven’t already seen from my thousands of pictures on insta).

We had a fantastic time running around San Francisco with my sister, Carrie Bradshaw and a hardy amount of booze, so sit back, crack open a Chelada, and enjoy more of my rambling (but this time, I’m rambling on vacation) Pretty exotic, huh?

Just in time for your early morning 4th of July beer, my 2nd “What’s New, CandeeLouWho?” Vlog video is LIVE!

But seriously, beyond the patriotic self-promotion, I am truly ecstatic to have made it from DK to US just in time to celebrate the 4th of July. Though I’ve been tempted to change my relationship status with America to “It’s Complicated” I know how blessed I am to be an American and how many incredible opportunities I have had because I come from this country.

So let’s crack open a cold one and cheers to the US of A, through all its turmoil I still believe there’s hope for an even brighter, more equal and increasingly prosperous future.

To quote the sensual songstress Ciara, “ I’ve been gone for too long, think it’s time I bring it back.”

I have been completely M.I.A. (also a sensual songstress) on Tumblr lately, as my Masters program/work/internship/travel/Netflix binges have really been zapping all of my energy. It has been mentally draining to even think about putting all of the daily craziness into a nice concise blog form, so I just haven’t (sowwy).

BUT I have so desperately been missing sharing my increasingly more Danish life with my friends and family, so much so that I have found a new medium to spew my pop culture references and slightly inappropriate observations: A VLOG!

You know vlogs; they’re like blogs...but veeerbal and through viiiideo! Kinda cool, right?

Well I know I’m probably so late to this game that they turned the stadium lights off, but I’ve been really itching for a new project and better way to stay connected with my community that doesn’t just limit my experience to words.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a very animated, passionate talker; I gesticulate like my life depends on it (hey, maybe it does!). So it’s kind of a no-brainer for me to show all of my expressions and emotions when recounting the hilariously challenging moments I experience on a given day. Essentially, I’m too extra for words. I can admit that.

So I have begun work on creating a Vlog that can capture my emotions, experiences, annoyances, obsessions and everything in between. It’s called What’s New CandeeLouWho, and I can already tell it’s gonna be a stupid good time!

TLDR Version:

I’m starting a vlog. I really hope you watch it. I REALLY hope you like it. And though I am still fighting my own self-doubt and plagued by the vulnerability of this endeavor, I honestly can’t wait to share more of my life with you all.
