Howdy—felt the need to give a chunk of my mind to those who yumeship/self ship & care a wee bit bout my feelings
FIRST OF ALL & MOST IMPORTANTLY! DON’T U DARE GET ME WRONG! This is directed towards NOBODY! If you aren’t blocked by me, then I’m good w you! I just wanna let y’all know how i feel bout some things & from now on consider my feelings when talking to me—I love that self shipping is a thing & is being more socially accepted, i do it too, it’s comforting & fun with so many other benefits to mental health (usually)! But, SO IS CANON X CANON SHIPPING 😱 (all Creepypastas are OCs but yk what i mean, talkin bout the “ogs” LJ, EJ, Toby, Jeff, yadayada) i’ve noticed especially in this fandom, that if it’s not a self-ship then it’s usually looked down upon & hated on. Most of the time, the hate is played off as a joke but i can tell, & i know, that it’s not totally a joke because its always jokingly hated on but never loved on or admired whatsoever, its all just talking shit, nothing else!! Get what i mean? Putting those facts together just tells me when people are putting on an act—this may not ALWAYS be the case, but most of the time it is. Also, i never actually got upset at someone for this bc ik nobody really meant any harm—Im only irritated with how normalized it is to hate on canon x canon stuff in this fandom as a whole
Im putting this out there as a warning for yumes/selfshippers who don’t intend on irritating me, this is one of the few things that actually bothers me TOO OFTEN & have kept to myself for a looong while, & how can i just explain all of this to someone each time it happens without making it a long ass essay-message &/or very possibly being misunderstood? Its easier to just write it all out so i can make my points clear & more properly thought-out
A lot of my art, if not MOST OF IT, consists of “Canon x Canon” Creepypasta ships, I have nothing against the respectful self shippers/yumes that are accepting of my ships & dynamics! I love you guys, thanks for not being selfish & not throwing a fit when i post my ship content!

if you look at my ship art involving your f/o & think sumn like “ugh they wouldn’t even work together” “I cant see them being a couple” “weird, i hate this ship” &/or are not willing to hear me out or care about my ship dynamics while just trying sooo hard to ignore the fact that i drew your fictional lovers(s) together romantically for your own satisfaction: then you ain’t welcome here & you will not like my content!! I don’t put up with that bullshit!!
its annoying as fuck because i genuinely do love these ships & have for a long time—i make up detailed ship dynamics & HCs that i actually do enjoy illustrating & talking about!! It comforts me so much, I’ve always loved shipping. Ive put genuine effort into coming up with AU’s where these characters could be a couple, i spend my time imagining how i can make it make sense—yes that seems so stupid, maybe it’s a little stupid, but like i said; this stuff is comforting & super fun for me!! It means equally as much to me as selfships
these days i feel nervous to even share my ship content since it seems most of the fandom doesn’t like that stuff when it involves their f/o, nervous because i feel like people are gonna be disappointed & bummed out that I spent time thinking, drawing and putting effort into ship content involving their f/o—as if i ruined the art & potential of what i could’ve made
