They don't know about us. They don't want to know about us. They don't care how much we teach about our history, they don't care about jewish people here or indigenous people here or afrodescendant people here. They don't know about the dictatorships or the genocide or the debt or the instability and they don't know how some provinces refuse to forget their indigenous people while some of us are still uncovering bits of our history that society hid.

They do not know how deeply in Latinoamerica we are, they don't know about Mercedes Sosa and they don't care about the Syrians who inmigrated and - when going back to their homeland - took yerba mate with them and made it popular because they understood and loved the language of a shared drink like us.

They don't know what we fight against, they don't know we're the US backyard and must sell ourselves to other powers too to survive, they don't know half the population looks up to Europe and simultaneously hates it because they remember the colonies. They don't know what we teach, what we self-critisise, what we hate and love. They don't know about Malvinas and they don't care.
