First time seeing the hot springs at Yellowstone this summer. I had a good time gathering ideas and photo references for Onsen Quest ♨️

We woke at 6am on a rainy July 4th, hoping to try and beat the crowds here. By the time we’d made our drip pour coffee in the car and rushed here from the Northwestern entrance, the clouds had cleared for a nice dawn view of the Springs.

We got to see a few different types of springs, such as the ‘mud pots,’ where the mud has gotten so hot it boils.
