Christ, do people really not realize what a huge number a billion is? 😭 There's a difference between doing well and having more money than is physically possible to spend in several lifetimes. For example, last year there was a drama with Billie Eilish when she donated for charity 11 million dollars, called out some billionaires for not giving out their own money to help others and a lot of people got mad. They said she has no right to criticize them when she's very rich herself and her own net worth approximated 50 million dollars. It was so stupid. Were they not aware she's talking about people who at the very least have 20 times more money than her? And even if they were in a very generous mood and donated a half of their wealth a) absolutely nothing about their lifestyles would change cause 500+ million dollars is still more money than you can imagine b) they'd still be 10+ times richer than Billie lol. And that's exactly what frustrated me about that person and some other guys calling him a communist. Bruce means well, he really means well, which is much better than nothing and the fact that I was in a bad mood when I complained in your askbox doesn't change that.
