The Sky People

Hundreds of years ago, when the earth was decimated by nuclear war, select people took to the sky. These sky people survived, floating in space, for generations, waiting for their return to the earth. When their home for all this time - the Ark- began to die a group of a hundred juvenile “delinquents” were sentenced to an early, potentially deadly, return to the surface.

Now, a month after their arrival, they struggle to survive in new and ever changing circumstances. The animals and plants they learned about while aboard the Ark have since evolved into things much more deadly. However these beasts are low on their list of worries and dangers. The earth they had believed uninhabited is home to others. Others who had already staked their claim on the earth while the Sky people had waited in the sky, and the fallen hundred had landed directly in the middle of two tribes at war.

The Grounders

Not everyone could take to the sky, these people were left to wait as long as their limited rations would allow in make-shift bomb shelters, or pray for the best. The majority of these people would die but a few, whose lucky DNA allowed it, survived. They claimed the earth as their own and over time colonies scattered the earth. They have grown to know this new earth,  and became strong enough to survive it.

Now, two clans find themselves at war over the woods. Each clan has an army and there is no shortage of motivation to defend or steal this land. Neither clan has survived the test of time by running, but with the arrival of the sky people times have become more dire than ever.

Woods Clan: They have remained in the woods since they first came up from their shelters. Over time they’ve established their home and it is not the first time they have had to defend themselves. The woods are theirs.

Desert Clan: For two years the desert clan has tried to survive in the home that had remained theirs for generations, but it has come time to accept that they cannot survive in the dry place any longer.  They’ve spent months searching and now they see a new home for them in the woods.
