Queue runs enough for some posting to take place. I kind of regret coming back... I don't answer asks in regards to fundraisers for those in Gaza/Palestine and automatically delete them upon seeing them in my inbox. My asks are not meant for that. I'm trying to distance myself from the event but I do not support the idea of taking innocent lives nor do I support the idea Israel has towards the said group. Probably not the best blog to follow if you're for the use of generative AI, because I tend to vocalize my opposition towards it.

You will more than likely see political stuff and you can safely block them with tags #politics or #us politics. I encourage the idea of curating ones own online experience even if it means going down that route. I ignore most if not all callouts unless they pose a severe safety risk.

...I hate for this to be one of the first posts I make after reviving this blog, but I need help. My roommates and I desperately need money to stay afloat, and I'm the only one with a stable income. We're all disabled and queer, and one of my roommates was supposed to have SSI by now but the government fucked up so he's still waiting on his court date. Because of that, we are constantly short on money.

I need $300 as soon as possible to make rent. I'm between paydays, and my next paycheck is going towards rent as well. Anything extra raised will go towards other needs we have like gas, car maintenance, and food.

Update: Turns out it's more like $450. I had an unexpected expense and got an overdraft fee. My account is in the negatives, we need gas and fresh bedding for my roommate's pet snake, and our bills have skyrocketed with the summer heat.

I finally got a few accounts purged off my back - big names being both Rate My Music & recently SpaceHey. I didn't use RMM & SH didn't seem to be updating as often as the pfp option is broken. I also got rid of PokeOS as I only used it for favorite Pokémon templates. Their ad blocker banners asking to disable them were both a bit annoying & pretty aggressive. The options being locked behind a pay wall also played a role in me nuking my account into orbit.

Unvale I still haven't the heart to delete as it requires contacting admins to initiate it. Understandable, but when it comes to the ToS being a bit sketchy & the site culture I rather be gone. Just not quite ready to message them.

I used to use Google docs, but the white mode only was really annoying me (tires my eyes), so I swapped to Ellipsus (which I genuinely love and recommend), but it was bothering me a bit that I need wifi in order to use it, so now I switched to LibreOffice Writer, which I do like.

It very much has a Microsoft Word feel, but is open source and you need no accounts to use it. It's local on your device, so no AI can scan it, and no wifi is needed.

I still wish it had the Google Docs cards, because, bitch, that thing is so good for easy organizing.
