Lunch in a German town, in Italy, in the Alps. I now understand what it means when someone says "the air is sweet".

Bolzano - rainstorms and schnitzel and soft fuzzy kittens 🎶. Beautiful, vibrant city. Whomever said that this town is quiet on the weekends.... Well, two umh-pa-pa bands and 5 street bar sing alongs later...

Lunch in Venice today - just lousy with tourists, hot and humid. Caught some relief by the ocean and left right before I felt like committing homicide: a good day.

One of the oldest neighborhoods in Verona, as seen from across the river near the duomo. This is a tiny, quaint city with the largest tourist attraction based on a fictional love story. The fact that you can visit a city that was the setting for one of Shakespeare's most famous plays is fantastic.

Our last day on the lakes before heading to Verona. This is a magical place to live. People know how to exist well here and you can even find a few spots away from the tourists.

Villa Melzi - beautiful gardens, torrential rains and a wonderful wine-infused lunch at Ristorante Bilacus

Lake Como - wandering around the center of the lake, scouting locations for the summer house. 😉 I have eaten so much cheese in the past 24 hours, my abdomen feels like a Zeppelin has taken up residence.

To-do Car to the mechanic, Trader Joe’s, 2 loads of laundry, Home Depot, repaired kitchen tiles, watched a football game, Home Depot (again), installed new blinds, replace glass light shades, picked up car, and another grocery store. It’s not yet 3pm. Dude, I think I just won Saturday.

I thought it was daylight savings time that put me in a funk. Longer days, too much sunshine. Now I realize what it was that I was missing.
