Cinderella’s time has arrived.
Calling all princesses and princes! Come spend an enchanted afternoon at the Grandin Theatre with special guests from Opera Roanoke's upcoming production of Rossini's Cinderella.
The Grandin Theatre will have special screenings of Disney's new live-action version of Cinderella next Sunday (3/15). Before the 3 pm & 5 pm shows, our cast members will sing excerpts from our upcoming production of Rossini's Cinderella. During those two shows, the Grandin is having a princess costume contest. Prize packs will be awarded to the best costume for each showing, including tickets to the Opera! Tickets for these special screenings go on sale Monday (3/9). There is no additional cost for this fun afternoon, you just have to buy the movie ticket.

In the operatic version of the Cinderella story, the fairy godmother is replaced with Alidoro, Prince Ramiro's tutor. Alidoro first comes to Angelina’s house as a beggar in disguise to spy on Cinderella and her stepsister. We here at Opera Roanoke are delighted to welcome back Zachary James, who made his Opera Roanoke debut in our fall production of Mozart's Abduction.
