Who is your favorite fox to draw?

now I’m curious— if Fearless were born king and Play Piper had been haruspex, how different would the story and the way they act be?

Very very very different. But Fearsome is probably right in that they would be "better" in each other's roles - insofar as much as they would fulfill the expectations of a ruler and a haruspex, and be less frustrated with their lives.

Fearsome as a king would be very tight and strict and run the hive as efficiently as he could manage. The ruler does have total power after all.

Play Piper as a haruspex would be deeply sensitive to prophecies and signs and spend hours and hours working out their meanings in her head.

whenever I hear the song “Jane!” by The Long Faces it reminds me of Play Piper for some reason

Are you alright w/kinning.

Wanted to make a kin onion and include Piped Piper bc of uh, certain aspects of her personality shown so far kind of mirroring some of my experiences.

I don't think I'm using the term correctly but I'm just trying to collect characters that I have related to for this and she was one of them.

As far as I'm aware that's not something I can control, but also I don't particularly care. If you strongly relate to one of my characters have whatever fun you want with it, it's not gonna change anything I'm doing with the comic!

i don't think words can really describe how much i love play piper so far like. i know she's bigger than basically the entire cast but she's literally just a little wuppydog

She is literally my oggy doggy and my puppy wuppy and I scruffle her head and drum on her side.

Cat & Piper childhood (puphood 🤔) friends to lovers! Love this!! Worried for them in the future but truly I’m here for it. Were they the only pups around the hive during that time?

No, they weren't; the hive had been gradually declining for some time, but it took a very sharp drop in numbers during Play Piper's lifetime (For reference she is about five-six years old, in fox years). You'll see a flashback to her childhood in a couple of chapters.

this is kind of an insane thing for me to compliment you about but i like how you drew play piper with a runny nose as she’s crying. my nose always drips like crazy whenever i cry, which isn’t something shown in media often (even when characters are ugly sobbing and whatnot) so it’s strangely nice to see some “representation” in that aspect lol

also i relate so very deeply to play piper hitting her head when distressed… when the thoughts become so loud and overwhelming, like they’re overcrowding your skull, that you’ll do anything to release that pressure… oh play piper you could never anything to make me hate you

Thank you! I actually got a lot of positive reactions to that depiction of her messy crying, and her blunt force self-harming. And it will not be the last snotty sobby breakdown!

What's the reasoning behind keeping the foxes colour designs secret? Is it just cuz you want people to stop with the weird black and white Vs colour thing or is there another reason

Because too many people were too annoying about the comic being black and white. Sorry to ruin for it the rest of the class but I got sick of it all.
