hello friend! I saw you're rewatching charmed! Amazing show glad you're rewatching it. And you're right! There was another episode to that season finale, except it only aired once because apparently it was too... much for television, I forget the exact words used but the episode has never been repeated/seen again, so you might be remembering that if you watched the episode when it originally aired

I must have because I remember watching it in my old house with my older sister waaay back when, lol. I heard all kinds of rumors that it was too much for tv and that Shannen owned the rights to the second part and refused to give them up when she was fired. Idk, but I was watching the first half and then it skipped straight to piper trying to bring prue back, and I was just like...wait! There's a whole chunk missing! I'm glad I'm not mis-remembering, lol.

Someone freaking help me. I'm re-watching charmed and I just finished the episode where prue is supposed to die. But they end it where prue and piper die? Like, wasn't there more to that? I remember watching that on TV with my sister and there was definitely waaay more than that. Like a whole other episode? Am I crazy?

you know what’s really genuinely unsettling? the degree to which men fucking do not want to sympathize with/be interested in women.

male audiences will happily watch a dozen superhero shows, but then something like Agent Carter or Supergirl turn up and they’re panned from the first trailer and have to struggle for ratings. male audiences will watch countless installments of a franchise as long as it’s about men doing man things but the second a character like Rey or Furiosa or god forbid four entire female Ghostbusters steps up and takes a position of prominence it’s “pandering sjw bullshit”.

it’s not pandering. men just aggressively don’t want to have to be invested in a woman’s narrative and it’s really gross.

I never see a cashier with an empty queue. Self-serve checkout machines make life GREAT for people with social anxiety or self conscious people. I get nervous that everyone is judging my weight. So when I do my monthly ice-cream, chocolate, and menstrual products run, I will do it with a fucking self-serve machine.

I’m happy seeing my friends take photos of their food. I like taking photos of my food. Because there is a chef in the back of the kitchen who works hard to plate things beautifully and in any other situation, people dive in immediately and ruin that image. We take photos to preserve that image and who the fuck knows, if I was the chef I would be digging through instagram hoping to see my plate on there. We’re celebrating someones hard work, work that is generally temporary.

And I don’t know what kind of friends you have, but if someone is taking a photo of their food, I’m not gonna bother talking to them until they’re done. Why would you try to have a conversation when someone is busy?? And it takes a few minutes, you can wait for someone who wants to perform a small act of creativity.

It’s nice to get likes on instagram. If you’re monogamous and on tinder, it’s not technology’s fault you’re contemplating cheating. What is SO BAD about having food delivered to your home? And is there anything wrong with having movies streaming instantly? No - but if you complain that Netflix takes up your life than be an adult and step back. It’s not technology’s fault that you have no self control.

Selfies are fun. Selfies are great. Your friend is a jerk if they don’t even take a minute to take of photo of you as well. Why do you care if people use technology around you on the subway? That makes me feel less self-conscious that people are staring or judging me. They can play their games, read, etc. Someone is occupied, why is that so wrong?

Your phone has a zoom option so you can record/photograph a concert? FUCKING good for you! 

And again. If your phone keeps you up, be an adult, get some self control and step back. 

Technology isn’t bad. You’re just upset with yourselves for having a lack of self-control. You hate that people connect through technology. And maybe, you just don’t like seeing people love themselves, enjoy life, and feel joy. That’s your problem, not technology’s.

Allie’s response: This is rape culture. They’re removing the blame from the rapists and making it the victim’s responsibility to basically not get raped. I was eleven when I was raped. I was a scared child who was told that if I ever told anyone he would murder all of my family members and no one would ever find out. What the fuck was I going to do to “defend” myself? I was a quiet little girl and he was a prominent real estate agent who doted on his daughter…no one was ever going to believe me. By saying that rapists are criminals and therefore not responsible for their actions, they’re placing the blame on the victim. Yes, rapists are criminals, but they need to take responsibility for their heinous crimes. Nobody is responsible for rape other than the rapist. This is victim blaming at its finest.

If defunding planned parenthood was really about abortions, then politicians and the government would try and stop funding to abortions specifically, not an entire health care service. Oh, but wait, NONE OF THE ABORTION SERVICES PROVIDED BY PP ARE FUNDED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. NONE. Planned Parenthood is a fucking woman's health clinic. Hell, men use planned parenthood as well. Defunding PP is not about abortions, it's about denying women easy and affordable access to health care. That's fucking it.

People who have the mindset that they can't do anything just because they aren't in positions of power, really piss me off. "Well I have ideas, but that's all they'll ever be, and there's nothing I can do about it so oh well." Like, with that attitude you're not going to get anywhere! Share your opinions, be loud and unapologetic, vote, be active in your community, just DO SOMETHING. Stop accepting things at face value and just fucking do something about it.
