kip in prison

in 2018, a group of lawmakers was made to research how children are treated in prison/ courts. a number of them were invited to kip’s prison to get to know the inmates and be able to meet directly.

a meeting was organised that kip attended, along with other inmates of his and the guests, and all sat in a big circle. everyone knew kip and what he had done so it was quite uncomfortable.

some of the guests later said that when they saw him, they thought about walking out.

various questions were asked, including “what’s something that you’ve wanted to do but have never done?”

to this, kip answered that he has always wanted to go to a concert.

the man who organised the group, floyd prozanski, attended the meeting and met kip. he said he expected kip to be ‘more deranged’, from what he had read about him.

a state representative, sherrie sprenger, did not like kip but she spoke to him at the meeting and asked him questions. she thought of him to be very respectful and showed remorse.

she asked him, ‘how about your sister? you killed her parents.’

to this he got quiet, and replied ‘my sister’s the best.’

kip and a few other inmates started a petition to adopt a cat for the prisons chapel (OSCI) , the cat in the photo he's holding is the one they wanted to adopt :)

kip is known to be fond of animals , in his home before the shooting , he had a calico cat named tiger lily

this is such a great idea they should do this more in prisons honestly (with testing and making sure they dont hurt the cats in any way) and supervision

In November of 1998, Dylan began to bully Adam Kyler, a student with special needs.

Adam said that Dylan would threaten to kill him if he went to class and that if he told anyone what was happening he would shoot him.

Adam had a learning disability, and his mother thought that was the reason he was being picked on. He also suffered from a disorder that had disfigured his facial muscles, and because of this, he was called "Alien" at school.

Adam Kyler was also injured during the shooting, he was injured in the ribs by a chair. He was treated for abdominal pain and released from in the same day
