Hello again haha. Just a quick update before the end of the year.

What has happened so far:

Did my thesis presentation and got a decent mark

Finished my introduction for my thesis and got good feedback but still need to tweak

Have an exam on Jan 6 which I have not studied at all for

Finished one optional module essay last minute (no clue if it's actually good or just waffle ~ hopefully I pass)

Turned 22

Went to karaoke for the first time and also did lots of different activities for my birthday

Quite a jam packed month and a bit but definitely happy with what I have done so far. If I don't post again in the mean, wishing you all a merry christmas and a happy new year xx

Hi guysss! I know I keep popping up here and there and then disappearing but I have been so busy with final year; so here are some updates:

I started my dissertation and had my draft introduction marked [it was good feedback]

I have also started my advanced pharmacology essay but have not finished it yet to get the draft marked

I stopped being friends with my best friend [painful ik but we move on and grow]

I'm back on my antidepressant medication [it definitely helps but it's so hard remembering to take it everyday]

Its definitely been one heck of a couple of weeks but I definitely learnt a lot from it. I made more new friends and am also now planning for my birthday which is in two weeks! I am super excited for the next chapter of my life and appreciate the lessons I have learnt this year. My friends so far have booked pottery painting, bowling and karaoke. I also have a trip coming up on my birthday to Liverpool which I am super excited about too. I promise to try and update this before the year ends with all my adventures and goals for 2025 because we have a month left!!

Also thank you to those who actually take the time to read my posts as this is definitely a place where I am comfortable enough to share my struggles and study journey <3

Sorry for the late response ~ final year has been super busy. I take a lot of inspiration from things like Pinterest and also various creators on tiktok. I kind of run off a vibe I want and keep the consistency throughout. It is all about making it convenient for you as it should serve you in a sense. Hope this helps <3

It has been an even longer while since I have posted but here are some updates on what has happened in the mean time:

I had my first 'first aid' incident in the office as a registered first aider

I got put on TDA as a manager for a month [with the salary increase included]

Finally finished my placement and left the job [my last day was last week Friday]

My final year modules are starting to be released

Final year starts next week!

I am super excited but also super stressed about final year because everything looks super difficult and I do not remember anything from my last two years in my degree. The only thing I remember is how to make my notion pretty so enjoy the snapshot for term 1 of my final year notion page ❤

Almost 2000 words in and I have successfully completed my assignment before the deadline as well as submitting it so that I am not left with the stress of forgetting to upload it closer to the deadline. That would just be silly!

This assignment was such a pain especially with how distracted I was getting. I also had some other issues which was affecting my mood and motivation but with some ramen, bread crusts and bread & butter pudding I was able to grind and complete the assignment.

Thankfully I do not have any more assignments. Lets all hope and pray that I end this year with a pass or I will have a breakdown haha

Half-way through my assignment due on Friday. Super stressed but it is my own fault as I left it so last minute. Hopefully I can finish it by tomorrow.

This assignment is a very reflective one regarding the work placement I undertook this year. I think being reflective overall is quite a difficult thing for me as I am not one to look over things. Like yes I learn from mistakes or if something is inefficient but in terms of things I do well, I usually just live and forget. Putting that into an academic assignment is another struggle beyond that.

Fingers crossed I can complete this on time as I have an event next week that I am super looking forward to and I do not want to be miserable there because of this assignment.

Hiya guyssss! It's been a while. I've been on my placement since October and so I have been super busy working my 'big girl' corporate job. It's definitely been an experience working in the office with different types of people. I recently had to present a poster on my placement which was an interesting experience to say the least. I don't know how I did but I definitely passed the assignment. Hopefully I can end the year with a 2.1 at least. I do not understand why this year is graded at all because it makes no sense and the criteria is so wishy-washy making it unfair on students.

I now have my final assignment for the year to submit which is a reflective essay answering 6 questions based on my experience on the placement. I am unsure on what to write for now so I am sort of posting this down as motivation because I have been super burnt out from my workplace. I will most likely hand in my resignation near September time because I want to focus on my studies and do well.

Fingers crossed I can get this assignment completed before the deadline which is the 26th April. I really wanna pass this year and get back to studying and finish my degree. Wish me luck <3

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I've spent the last few days of the year vision boarding and reflecting and my god has this year been hectic.

2023 has been, like all the other years, a rollercoaster ride. From building new bonds to letting people go, a lot of hard lessons were learnt and for that I am very grateful. Dealing with grief, heartbreak and bouts of emptiness were definitely not on my vision board for this year but hey I was able to learn more about myself, the people I surround myself with and the goals I have for my future.

I know this year has had quite a few lows but I have also made a lot of achievements. This year I got my first big girl job, made a lot more new friends, gained a bit more financial freedom and genuinely improved my mindset, wardrobe and behaviour. الحمدلله This year has definitely been a year of growth for me and I am proud of what I have gone through and how far I have come. It was not easy by any standards but it needed to be done, for the little girl years ago who wished to live a life filled with joy and laughter with her group of friends doing what she pleased.

For once I hope for a peaceful year but we all know that with my personality and decision-making skills it will be anything but that. So 🥂 to a year full of more healing, memories and good food!

I am back after a very VERY long break. It has been FIVE MONTHS! So an update is long overdue.

The updates:

My placement year is going to be as a civil servant

I broke up with my boyfriend during the summer holidays

I have an assignment due in March along with it being presented to people

I sort of had a failed situationship

My instagram got hacked

I am officially 21!

That is a very rough summary of the last 5 months along with the fact that half of this stuff happened while on holiday which was great. So far I am struggling with my mental health again but I have decent hopes for the new year so for now I will be planning more of my life on Notion and try to get as organised as possible before I start the new year.

Just over a week left till I go on holiday. Kinda excited because it's been years since I have gone 'back home' but also dreading the heat because the last time I went I spent 6 weeks having a really bad heatstroke. Hopefully I get to try new food places and see some new sights that I don't see here in B'ham.

I'm still applying for jobs/placements and my god is it such a nightmare. I hope to get one at least before I fly out but I just need one for September. I'm also working on Notion templates but I need some ideas on what people are looking for in Notion templates [so feel free to comment below what types of Notion templates y'all want]

I have been so unwell and lazy these past few days. I haven't been able to move much from my bed at all!

I have still been applying for work/placements but haven't been successful TT I have also decided to make another template which will be live to use in a couple of days after it has been reviewed.

I'm gonna try and make a few more before I go on holiday and maybe see how I can monetize it because I am not that educated in that field. Wish me luck!

Officially half the year is over. I keep forgetting this account exists and that I have hobbies so when I tell you other than job hunting I haven't done anything, I mean it.

Had an interview today and then cried for a bit because this shit is hard and constant rejections can be super demoralising; but we just gotta pull through cuz the universe and God have plans so hopefully they've decided to put me in a well paid job hahaha

Finally started watching 'One Piece' again. Idk why I stopped at Ep12 but I am officially watching it to catch up [God knows when]. I've seen up till Ep 18 and the OVA. I'm literally following some random article on the order so I live the full experience. Super excited to continue because I am a MASSIVE fan of shounen animes.

I also got one of my templates published on notion and it's now accessible for free! I'll try and make some more and then make some that are paid because your girl needs the bag. But for now they'll be free because studying is hard.
