There's something really magical about tf Beast Wars. The animation is horrible. The first few eps will have you going "what the fuck is even happening here." Then you realize they're actually going through with the Dinobot redemption arc and not just treating him like Starscream Dino Edition, and then the show starts referencing Looney Tunes and Shakespeare and Doom. You have now gotten used to the crappy 90's 3D animation, and you realize it's the perfect medium for a show that wants to make you cry and then pull off a stupid slapstick routine in the span of 3 seconds. Each one of these characters is flawed, and their flaws are what makes the plot move. Our heroes are inexperienced or childish or cowards or just really conflicted. Each one of them can be wrong or angry or even traitors but still be loved. Or at very least, important. Megatron is actually an asshole and I hope Blackarachnia gets to punch him and Tarantulas in the face.

okay not to ocpost again but the worst thing about having an oc is sometimes they become The Character to you. and you need to talk to someone about it like wow I can’t stop thinking about The Character… but in order to do so you have to like sit them down and explain everything about your oc first. and then it’s just you explaining your writing ideas. i need to talk about them the same way i would talk about any random character i love to someone.
