Redrew this scene specifically because it's the one that got me to genuinely ship them, not just go "lol they wanna kiss so bad". Gene was very boring to me until this moment, him actually talking to + connecting with Sam and showing how much he tries to protect the team made me start paying a bit more attention to his character (and start diagnosing him with an extreme case of internalized homophobia.).

Also to the people who have expressed interest in my Life on Mars genderbend au the post is totally coming lol, I just keep getting distracted
